For those that want to say that the films of star wars will not be re-mixed for and fixed blu-ray are wrong their have been articles all over the net saying that the the audio will be fixed and re-mixed for the blu-ray release. It won't be the same bad audio tracks that was on the dvd releases of episodes 4, 5, and 6.

No articles say they will be "fixed" and there will never be any official word from any LFL employees that there was anything wrong with the ANH 2004 audio. Why? because if they ever admitted that the audio on that disc was screwed up and not a "creative decision" they would be in deep shit as it would spur a flood of demands for replacement discs that would also lead to legal actions and could cost LFL millions.

We're getting further changes to the audio mix with Obi-Wan's howl so god knows what else is going to be changed. You can't blame anyone for being very wary about both the audio and video side of things with the blu-rays, especially with Lucasfilms inferior quality control track record in the past few years

Will anybody be buying the blu ray to use as a base to restore the oot, since Lucas a billionaire cannot release it.

yes, i will be. I'm only going to buy the set for my edits. If i wasn't working on the edits then i wouldn't buy them. I'm developing ways to not have to use a full frame from the GOUT to make a EPIV reconstruction in the highest quality i can. Will it be possible? I won't know until i see whats actually on these sets but i'm hopeful  that i can pull it off
