The 7 Faces Of Doctor Lao was one of my favourite films when I was a kid and I still love it.

Yeah, ‘7 FACES OF DR LAO’ was something I always liked to catch on TV when I was younger too.  It’s one of those gems that doesn’t seem to be available on DVD here in the UK, but I got it on Region 1 for my 2 young brats who loved it too.  It was great seeing it again after all these years.  😃

And here’s something else I used to make sure I caught when I was younger, whenever it was shown.  Again, it doesn’t seem to be available in UK, so I had to order this on Region 1 for the young 'uns too.  And again, they loved it!  But unlike the washed-out trailer shown here, the original sumptuous colour on the DVD is terrific, and was another great piece of nostalgia for me…

NEW OPENING SCENE I’d prefer for ‘THE MIST’

(so that I can get rid of the 'poster art shots which ‘take me out’ of the movie immediately, and stick to the more atmospheric lightning sounds instead, rather than the continuous radio music tune)

The DIMENSION FILMS logo fades in to the sound of lightning, then fades out to black as we hear just a snippet of the original radio intro. tune…

Then I’d CUT to the pull-back shot of the family watching the lightning storm as THE MIST title comes up…

Then we continue as normal, as the family go down into the basement for safety…

Then I MIGHT CUT to the tree crashing through the window towards us at this point…

OR…I MIGHT instead CUT to the last final black bit of the ‘tree’ shot above at this point, as sound of the lightning fades away, and we fade into daylight the next morning, and see the devastation outside the house…
