I wasnt arguing that, per se, it might have came up as I sensational example of times it cant be as safe. The whole argument that it should be a recommendation to do so and not a law

No, I could see things from his point of view, and said it was the norm, but he completely threw out my "conspiracy theory" point of view of reasons why this is a law, while safety might be a part of the reason, it is not the whole reaosn, nor the main reason in my opinion

Edit: And his viewpoints are not the reason he was marked down as unreasonable, it was when he had to resort to nonsense pictures he became an asshat
