Would have rocked to see a "collection" of EPII. EPIII and OT storm trooper helmets inside the Tarkin's council chamber

Why would he have those? He seems rather proud that "the last remnants of the Old Republic have been swept away".Mithrandir said:

He's just being symbolic with that expression, he's talkin about the Senate, and federalism of the old republic. I don't think he's being absolute with that, because he himself is a remnant of the old republic, and militarism is one of the emblems of the Empire... so should we get rid of Tarkin? just jokin
Okay so now I'm in the right spot for this:
As I was saying earlier I found what apperas to be a different take on the same scene set in the Rebel Hanger on Yavin right after Luke turns away from Leia...leading up to Biggs reunion.
The comparison pictures are taken as Luke looks away for the first time and his head turns towards the floor. They are both taken when Luke's nose is verticle to the floor for the first time.
I hope this link works if not I'll try again. God I hate being a noob.
There are a lot of misplacements and take note of the angle of the stripes on Luke's helmet.
I dont know what significance this has on anything just something I noticed while watching both versions while doing a splitscreen video of the two.
anyways here's the link.....

I think they had to use a different take because the original was cut before Biggs appeared

Good call...at first I thought you had done some of your movie magic and I was trying to figure out the reason behind that change then I realized it must have been a different take.
One last question that keeps popping into my head when I watch any version of Star Wars:
During the DS trench run Red Leader is being chased by Darth Vader above the DS surface as Vader fire's and there appears to be no contact to that engine or to RL's X-wing but RL states "I just lost my starboard engine" (rightside) but the starboard engine doesnt get hit until almost 7 seconds later.
I'm not trying to sound like I'm disecting your version cause I consider your version to be the one to watch just wondering if that was something left as it was intentionally.
Anyhow...Glad to hear ROTJ will be in 1080p or is it 1080i? Waiting on pins and needles...ouch.
"p" stands for progressive and "i" stands for interlaced. 1080i is only used for broadcast television, as far as I know. If Ady is using a Blu-Ray source, than it will be 1080p. Hope that helps. :)
It might not get visibly hit but you can hear Vader shooting away in the background.
Red Leader doesn't necessarily mean that his engine is blown at that point rather that it's no longer functional.
Vader could hit it again causing it to visibly explode (possibly hitting that tank of wonder-fuel we see getting filled before they take off).
I was a bit more disappointed that the shot of Red Leader hitting the surface stayed.
I never liked the Death Star surface in that shot. My feelings towards it are probably intensified by having it rubbed in my face at an early age thanks to the pan and scan versions shown on television.
It always looked a bit like a piece of hardboard with upturned plastic tubs glued to it (which I would forgive on Blake's 7 but seemed out of place in a film like Star Wars).
Just curious, but why did Ady decide to make Ben ignite his saber before Vader in the duel in ANH:R? Everything he does is well thought out, so what was the reason?
I imagine it's because in (almost) every other duel the good guy lights up first

Yeah that was helpfull thanks so much...I'm just starting in my video editing adventure so I have a lot to learn. Im using vegas pro 9, adobe after effects CS3, FX home and Magix movie edit pro 15...now its time to figure all this stuff out....(takes a really deep breath). I really hope the investment pays off...:-)

Yeah that could be but I would have liked to see it confirmed on film for the perfectionist in me. One of those gotta see it to believe it kinda things...that's kind of an oxymoron asking to believe something that isnt even real..;-)
Sorry if you answered this already but are you going to assemble ESB:R photo's like you did for ANH:R which showed the changes? That was really helpful when trying to show some of my friends who hadn't seen the Revisited version some of the changes.
There will be an ESBR Visual Comparison compiled by Ady, don't worry about that.

Almost every other times we see a Jedi ignite his sabre he ignites it first. So i had Obi-Wan ignite it first. He knew just how dangerous Vader was and it's also a defensive thing. It also mirrored their first encounter, which is why i used the music. And another reason was it was the best shot to have Obi-Wan ignite his sabre as you can see a twitch in his finger as if he is igniting it. The original sabre ignition shot just looked like someone twisting their hand to reveal the blade

Maybe one for the next generation of ANH:SE tweakers to fiddle with.

To all interested in the Purist Edition...
I've gotten a PM from one of the new admins at FE.org. It sounds like there will be a discussion about whether or not to include it once again (I'm pretty sure it was on FE.org before the edits were moved to fanedit.info).
I think we may finally have some progress on this...stay tuned.

I really wondered when I saw your ANH:R, why did (or do) you care to refer to the prequels that way. Is it important ? Besides, who tells in five years or so, you won't have the will, and perhaps the ways, to change these things you refer to now ? (Perhaps you already planned? Then, don't tell).
Since this and the broken battle droid are the only PT references that will be in the Revisited OT, its safe to say he can keep those two elements.A B C said:

That is why there are 2 versions of ANH:R - the regular DVD and the purist. The purist is for those that don't want anything to do with the prequels so the music during the battle is gone along with Darth Vader's theme . While the regular version is to be viewed as a 6 film saga and will also work with the prequels as they are officially
The way I see it - it's John Williams. And he IS Star Wars. A theme from PT or not - it's still a Star Wars theme created by John Williams. If George got all sloppy and stuff - John didn't. He has always done a great job and his music fits perfectly where ever you want to put it.
But that's just me... and I may be wrong.
Ah I see Ady, thanks.

And "Battle of the Heroes" is awesome music, IMO.
... having worked a lot on restoring the ESB musics: I'd say it's only a sad remake of "Hyperspace". Compare these cues, you'll be amazed. Very same rythmic, mostly.
I can't say I've ever heard that tune. Could you share a link to it?
