Personally I just don't understand the point of changing things like the Emperor's hologram retrospectively, We all know what he looks like now so what's the point? The faded hologram in the original movie makes him more mysterious; sure it might have looked better if they had the technology at the time, but they didn't so who cares? Remember also that they were in an asteroid belt so there was interference (yes, I know Vader oreders them to move out so they can send a clear transmission) but they are still a long way from Palpatine; also Palpatine is the only one who uses the hologram in that way, with a giant image of his head, whereas everyone else uses it for their entire body; so it makes sense that there would be less detail. And are they also going to fix up all the other holograms used throughout the movie or leave them the same? Because if they do the Emperor's holo will stick out like a sore thumb from the others. One more thing, if that image the Starkiller posted is really what it is going to look like... is it just me, or does that really not look much like the Emperor (as he appears in ROTJ)? But maybe that is not the final version...
