Alright guys?

Thought i'd register as I've been following this for a quite a while now and have enjoyed a lot of the work and discussion going on.

I cant remember if this has been covered but my mind needs put to rest after watching Spence's edit of ROTS.  Just after the ship breaks in half when Anakin is trying to land, R2 lets out a sequence of beeps that sound like he's saying "uh oh".  They may as well have had a drum riff straight after it to accentuate the punchline.  It nearly made me sick.

Please say you have removed this!

I'm sure that beep is just a re-used beep from the other movies...I think it just adds to his personality...

Saying that.....It pisses me off that they used the same beeps from the other movies....Lazy...Lazy

lets face it it R2 is turned into a slapstick character with his "little action scene" at the beginning of the movie & I don't think there is a fan editor out there that has kept it in their edit, Zod knows It would be the first thing to go if I had the talent to do one of my own

Bob, I checked out your Mustafar duel clip, and it's pretty tight - and good, of course. I can see how it might be hard to squeeze in the double-saber idea.

Throw in the "I Hate You" line as Obi wan is about to walk away there is a reaction form Obi that I think might fit in nicely

Not my big problem no, i'm sure the vast majority of those have been covered in this thread alone. 

It's just an horrendously awful moment I'd never noticed before. Made me choke on my Admiral Ackbar cereal!  

Moments such as these, whilst not being big problems in themselves regarding the story, do have quite a detrimental effect on the movie; they just pull you out of the experience for nothing more than a worthless gag that I doubt even my 2 year old nephew would find funny.  I'm sure you would agree.

Cheers min, I thought you would have done.  Just needed to know for sure.  I really enjoyed Spence's edit but the work of yours that I've seen so far has blown that away.  Keep up the good work!

 Yep. I'm going to skip on him lighting it in from of Palpatine, just having the desk open up and it sitting there.

The first reveal will be with the kids.

The reason for me adding the desk shot was everyone was all crazy about, how did he change the saber so fast. It's the only reason I added it.

Right now I'm working on the red blade and changing the saber handle in the younglings scene. So far I have to say this is gonna look good.

Hmm, well ROTS is by far my favorite of the PT series and also the movie that I felt I could do the most justice.

I wanted my first edit to set the standard for the rest of the films that will be done later. I feel that when people see what's been done to the film as a whole they will be really excited for the rest of the movies.

ROTS also ruined the background story of Vader the most for me. Dont get me wrong, TPM and AOTC screwed up Anakin's character pretty bad. But hell in ep 1 he's a kid, and in 2 he's a teenager, so I let that slide a bit.

But in EP3 this is the last chance to build up the backstory for the main villain for the next 3 films. And he's crying right up to the very end. This drives my nuts beyond all belief.

Now for those of us who grew up on the OT, we have to understand that when our childrens chlildren watch these for the first time In order from 1-6. They will have no clue as to how we felt the first time we watched Vader walk onto the screen in ANH. Even before he spoke you knew he was one evil mutha. But now it's like, "Hey,it's the cry baby!"

So really I'm doing this edit first as my attempt to restore Vader some of his dignity.

There are is still alot of details about this edit that I have not yet let out. Major changes that I feel will leave any OT fan with a huge smile across their face. The work will be done, and I just hope everyone can enjoy it as much as I know I will.

Nah. I'd rather just keep it simple. Nothing against Ady. He's doing his thing, and I'm doing mine. Besides, he'll get to the PT one day. 8)

Once this is out and people get a chance to watch it, we'll see what everyone calls me, lol

**update** ok just looked over the footage taken out, there's a good shot in which to light up a second saber, but this shot also only lasts for about 3 seconds. I'll try it with this shot and see what it looks like. I might not get to it tonight tho

 I think it might be worth it, just didnt get around to it yet. On the weekends I DJ at a nightclub as a second job. So times been short. 8)

Well I've been DJing forever. It's my passion. So I'm huge on audio. I've been mixing for more than 17 years. Working in Chicago night clubs since I was 18.

 I've done most of the Downtown Chicago hot spots, and over the last few years I've made my way to the Chicago suburb clubs. They tend to pay alot better.
