PS: Besides, if you could unquote my words to DS please, thanks.
No.
Since you felt the need to mention me in your post, it isn't going anywhere. Sorry.

I admit, and even better: I thought I could be an ass too for a couple of posts (one!) here if it could serve the experience/comparison. I think there's no need to say more.

Got Beatles: Rock Band for $12.60 at Sam's Club this weekend. Not a huge Beatles fan, but always in the mood for more Rock Band.

Just got done replaying Resistance as a warmup for Resistance 2 for PS3. Anybody play either of these? they are sooo much fun and addicting. Played for 7hrs last night.

Im about 3/4 the way through Resistance 2, I think. This game is TOUGH! So far I favor the 1st Resistance. The 2nd one, I dont like the direction the programmers took in regards to the enemies. Its like they borrowed ideas from clash of the titans, godzilla, and the leviathan from pirates of the carribean. The fright factor is much bigger in this game too.

I managed to pick up DJ Hero on PS2 of eBay for $23. This game rules. I think I like this better than Guitar Hero/Rock Band.
Never was able to get into Guitar Hero/Rock Band. Always thought it looked really stupid, finally allowed some friends to talk me into trying it out, and ended still feeling it looked stupid. Obviously it isn't for everyone, but neither are the kinds of games I enjoy. That is pretty cool you scored it for just $23. I always figured that if I were to get into that sort of thing, the PS2 would be the way to go. Being an older console you seem to be able to buy the controllers cheaper, and I can't imagine the PS2 versions of the games being that far watered down from the current generation versions.

I'm not gonna lie, the graphics on the PS2 version look like ass, but since the primary focus is the colored dots moving toward you on the screen (it is just a jazzed-up rhythm game, after all), that doesn't really matter.
I do enjoy these types of games, mostly because I'm one of those people that is listening to some kind of music almost all the time, and it gives me a way to get a little more interactive with it (as opposed to just sitting on the couch with headphones on). The music in DJ Hero is by far the most adventurous that's been put in to a music game so far (come on, it's got a 50-Cent/David Bowie mash-up in it!); one of the reasons I got burned out on the Rock Band-type games is because I just got sick of hearing the same old boring stadium rock songs over and over again.
The Guitar Hero franchise has been getting progressively shittier ever since Guitar Hero 2, which is the last game that Harmonix and Red Octane worked on together, and there's a reason for this. Harmonix, who eventually started the Rock Band franchise, are musicians. Red Octane, who kept making Guitar Hero games, are programmers. So with Guitar Hero, they would throw in a ton of extra notes/noodling purely for the sake of difficulty, and it just stopped being fun. The Rock Band franchise has at least striven to be a little more realistic, and I appreciate that.
I'm seriously considering picking up Reach at midnight. My wife (then girlfriend) broke curfew to pick up Halo 2 for my dorm wing in college. Then we went to our local Gamestop to pick up Halo 3 at midnight a few years ago. I kind of think I should, just as a "one last time" thing.

Do it, it would be something you would remember for a long time, unlike just walking into the store and buying it the next day.
Still trying to decide if I am interested in Reach or not.

Mrs 005 says no. She has a new job and needs to sleep. For Halo 3 we were there the whole "party", which was nothing really in our town. I'll just pick it up at lunch and stare at the box all afternoon...
I'm excited for it because it almost looks like a "Halo Greatest Hits" with new stuff and all of the things you liked remixed to be even better.

Grabbed Reach at midnight [7 hours ago] but haven't had a chance for a proper sticky beak yet. Mine is still wrapped in plastic but we did unbox a friends copy and have a quick poke around the armoury and forgeworld.
All i've done at this point is fly around in the Falcon - which itself was a lot of fun. Can't wait to jump in as soon as i've got some free time after work.
I'm glad I went and got it at midnight, Now it's here waiting for me and I don't have to muck about during the day.
It certainly does seem to have a classic / 'greatest hits' flavour to it - at least so far...
Hmm, my biggest lack of interest in Reach was my fear that it would be more of the same. You may say, 'But hey, it is Halo, and that is what people want, more Halo.'
Fine, but most popular game series have managed to do a good deal better than Halo in terms of fresh and new ideas from game to game, and when they haven't people got tired of them, much like I have done with Halo.
Looking at all my favorite game series, they have all made drastic changes over time. The second Zelda game was significantly different from the first one, and the third was significantly different than those two, when we finally got to Ocarina of Time, it was significantly different from the others. Metroid 2 was very different from Metroid, and again, the third one was also very fresh and original. Monkey Island is the same way. Half-Life 2 took a very different direction from Half-Life, and Valve has been careful to make sure new and original ideas were used in each of the expansions. All these games carried on the spirit of those that came before, but they made things new and fresh each time around. Halo... not so much.
So hearing that it is basically "Halo: The Greatest Hits Collection", definitely isn't a selling point for me. I like Halo, but I'd like to see something new and fresh done with the series. ODST was a step in the right direction IMHO, but not quite far enough. I had been hoping Reach would be a farther step in the right directions, but advertisements and what I have read about it have made me feel that it seems more like a step back from that direction. If I wanted more of the same, I pop my copy of Halo:CE/Halo 2/Halo 3/Halo 3: ODST back in my console, rather than pay $60 for it. Why own a bands greatest hits when you already own their entire discography?
