I think GL should include a scene just before that one:
"Hey Yoda, I was looking for a lost planet, but I've realized that it was erased from the files, I mean duh, of course. But let's see if those dumb kids you were trainning can figure that out. I'll come to your class, interrupt the whole thing, and ask that obvious question. Let's see if they can figure it out."
"Dumb those kids are not. Meditate on this I..."
"Oh shut up. Let's do it, right? Pretend you are surprised when you see me, ok? See ya later."
"Later I shall see you too."
