im a newbie - just wanna say hello and keep up the good work...you fan editors are amazing...i have lots of ideas about how the prequels should have been (my preference of course) but just dont have the technical skill to make a fanedit myself...and with a family and work i dont have the time to learn. I almost blanked out the whole prequel from my mind when i found this site and it got me thinking that dedicated fans can really make a change to these movies so well done to all who contribute. I always wished the ROTS got a bit more retro looking and more of the feel of ANH- a bit more 70's styling, haircuts etc and maybe a few models would have been used when making the film instead of the copious amounts of CGI.
. I love the idea of the red light sabre and some where back in the topic someone suggested the igniting of the blue sabre before anakin somersaulted onto the bank when obi wan cut his legs..It seems like a good time for Obi wan to pick up the blu sabre for Luke.
Has anyone seen the Stankpac ediT of ROTS? -its the best so far IMO..The last 20 mins kept me captivated - no Sidious - yoda fight was a fantastic.idea...no twins birth was even better just the medical droid saying the babies needed to be saved..No Vader saying NOOOO....god i wanted to put a blade to the cinema screen when i first saw that.
As much as Stankpacs was great i would still have changed some aspects if it were my own. Corgicars edit had some good ideas - so maybe mixing corgicars beginning with Stankpacs end with some new ideas would be amazing....How do people feel about the film ending at the birth of Vader. I always thought that it would have been more fitting - a bit of a darker finish like ESB. I would have arranged the scenes so
1. Organa tell Antilles(?) to shut down the droids before the birth of the twins
2. the medical droid lets obi wan know that the babies need to be saved.
3Yoda - Obi Wan- Organa discuss what to do with the twins
4.Organa take Leia to his wife.
5 obi wan takes Luke to Owen and Beru
6. Then we have the birth of vader....THE END.
i know it will be hard to mix the soundtrack as Owen and Beru stare into the sunset with the birth of vader...but maybe the first breathes could be mixed in somehow...so it s the last sounds we hear
Sorry im intruding on your guys but i thought this is a place where i could vent some prequel frustrations that have bugged me for years...like i say i almost forgot about the prequels all together until i found out by chance this wonderful site and the great people that just might make something of these movies.
one more thing - is the grevious fight at the beginning necessary...cant we just have the killing of Dookoo and kept the grevious fight for Obi wan later in the film....just a thought
