They got almost everything wrong with Jabba with 2004 version (it's arguable that anything would have been better than the 1997 monstrosity).

The skin tone is almost a universal mustard, the lighting is way too dark, the skin texture (which didn't look too bad in the bright light of TPM scenes) is too hard (not the flabby toad of ROTJ).

His matte jaundiced eyes are just the topping on the cake.

I'm pretty sure they could have worked a better solution to the tail problem too if they tried harder.

I'm still not convinced by the scale either which was pretty good in TPM but somehow still looks a bit too small in the 2004 SE with these eyes.
