LOST: In The Detail. Chronological edit. Completed 10 years ago but never shared in full....until now (Released)

after seeing jswert123;s post about his LOST edit, I figured I’d better chime in with mine.

ALthough it’s been a current topic on fe for a whle, I always meant to bring it here, but life has got in the way of my internet unfortunaly.

my aim was not only to put every flashback in chronological order, but also to include every deleted scene, as well as ‘intermissions’, ie various media that ass to the whole LOST mythology.

Bar the final season, the work is done. All my episodes have been finished, its just a case of exporting the last 20 or so from womble.  I havent cropped, or tried to get rid of the credits, but having rewatched it through myself, as a fan of the show, I can honestly say it made no difference.  I followed the story, not the editing.

but as I mentioned in the other thread, the episodes I have exported sp far, plus intermissions, come to 50GB, so I’m in a quandy about how to release it.  Although the average episode is about a 750 mb avi, a handful of them are 1gb plus, and if theres a filehosting site thant handles over 1gb, then I haven’t found it yet.

would love to see yr work.....i just now finished season 6..and  seperate dvd for the flash sideways timeline (afterlife).....so does yr work begin with desmond failing to push the button/ crash and go from there.....see my initial idea is to begin with jacob being born....richard alpert.....all the various flashbacks (that work) to tell the backstory of things and lead up to the crash and go from there to Jack dying.......and theres plenty of rom in this world for multiple ideas and fanedits....so glad more people are trying this.....i do have the dvd rips of season 6 and the bonus feature New Man In Charge

my season 6 is done more like several segments from various episodes put together as 2 hrs movies. even on the island it jumped around storyline was i tried keeping certain parts with its intended plot instead of jumping foward to one story and jumping back to the other................. it makes sense and  just going by what lostpedia timeline has written..it seems to be the best source.....really wanna see work

i think we're on the same wavelength.  my first to episodes will be jacoband the man in black and then a richard episode.  after that if goes straight to the 1950.  I've included all of our heroes time in the past, but I've tried to remove any references to a future. So for example, jack, Kate and hurley really have come in on the dharma sub etc etc. obviously the full story won't be revealed until you watch season 5!

i just edited the "richard backstory" episode Ab Aterno from s6......which was funny cause based on the timeline i had to enter a scene from s5 where jacob and MIB are on beach and they can see the ship in the distance then i cut back to the storm and rich below deck and it crashing and leading right up to richard burying his wifes necklace in the dirt.... only  issue with this is on the beach MIB's hair is  curly and  thick and few scenes late where he unlocks the chains on richard his hair is short cropped...........i wish i had dvd rips of  first 5 seasons...im not working and havent found realy any good online copies to grab hold of.......cant wait to see yr work

well i guess thats why theirs diferent visions of Lost editing........yr list says

Episode 0.1 1944-1973

Welcome to the island

Episode 0.2 1974-1977             where are those episodes...........those wont involve jacob/ MIB or richard backstory as thos all happened in like 23ad and a little afterwards.............my biggest confusion with episode i saw was daniel and charlotte and some others being there in 1977...is daniel old enough..guess some time travel is involved....just be interesting to see the rest 1 day

The ones you've mentioned are episodes 3 and 4.  1 & 2 will be the jacob and richard-centric episodes.  These will be released once I have the S6 boxset, but I wanted to get the ball rolling and start releasing what I've already done.

I've updated the blog with the release of episode 4 - 1974-1977

I've updated my blog with episode 5 of season zero of 'LOST - In The Detail'.

In this episode the Dharma Initiative capture an unco-operative hostile, young Ben Linus is badly injured, and Juliet and new recruit Kate make a dangerous journey to see the Others.

I understand that there have been several other projects doing very similar things with putting LOST in order, and some of you may be reluctant to commit to another rewatch of the whole show, but I like to feel that mine is different due to the inclusion of deleted scenes, mobisodes and the editing of the time travel aspect of it, and I'd love you guys to give it a shot

well obviously I could tell you exactly how i edited my episodes together, which scenes went in which order, how I approached the time travel stroyline and tried to create a new narrative and viewing experience....but then all my hard work would have been kinda moot now wouldn't it
