I've been watching ANH:R via the clips posted to the Facebook group. I love it and want to get it, but I don't have a DVD burner on my computer. Does anyone know how I could get a burned copy? I'd be more than willing to pay for shipping of the discs.
For the price of shipping you could probably get a cheap burner or most of the way to one.
You could download the disc image and watch either on your computer or via a connection on your tellyscreen too (you could even connect your computer to a projector if you had access to one).
The reason I was askig for a copy of the NTSC version is that i have tried to burn it a few times but it always ends up with a problem dvd, and since I get a few ppl begging me for a copy I thought it was nice to have a workign one i could use for copying.

Just following up with a comment that the NTSC single layer version does not play well on a PS2 at all. It has frequent pauses during the movie making it unwatchable. It looks good on it which is a shame since it pauses so much.

The PS2 makes for a crappy DVD player. I burnt out the drove of mine once, and Sony actually suggested I not watch so many DVDs on it.

I watched 1 movie on my old one and the picture quality was so bad and it struggled to play the retail DVD. I couldn't believe that my £20 DVD player was so far superior to the PS2
I've been having issues with getting my home DVD player to successully play some attempts I've been making at burning this, but my ps2slim plays it fine with zero issues every single time.

Interesting, but I've never had a slim, they might have fixed whatever issue they had with the fat.

I was going to say that the brand of media I was using was the problem, but nope... I tried different media, and at 2x write speed even, and my player still has issues.

How new or old is your media? My dad recently had trouble writing a simple audio CD because the discs he had were a few years old. Bought fresh discs and everything worked fine. The dye apparently goes bad if you don't use discs very frequently.

I just attended FanExpo in Toronto, Canada this weekend and during the Q&A session with Peter Mayhew someone asked him about his thoughts on Chewie not getting a meddle at the end of ANH. He responded by talking about getting a meddle during an MTV award ceremony a few years back. Then a guy directly behind me stood up and told everyone in the room to "check out this version of Star Wars by a guy named Adywan. Chewie gets a meddle at the end, and the entire movie is just awesome."
It's cool knowing that word continues to spread about ANH:R.

He probably does but he doesn't talk about it because he wants you to buy the original so he gets royalties from it, he has nothing to gain from promoting a fan edit

That pic is me! I presented Adywan's Star Wars Revisited to Peter Mayhew back in 2008 at a convention in Birmingham, Alabama. I told him that Chewie gets a medal in it. He said it was about time!

Which reminds me I've been asked to churn out another copy for my neighbour's son (as a way of saying sorry for not being up to playing football with him).
He isn't famous (yet) and he hasn't been in a Star Wars film (yet) but by getting the word out there one disc at a time we are all doing our bit.
