The acting in this scene is very unconvincing, so I think you should remove as much as possible. May I suggest you remove everything starting from "Then our worst fears have been realized" till "If what you told me is true..."

So, basically, the dialog would go like this -

Anakin:"... He knows the ways of the force. He's been trained to use The Dark Side."

Mace:"Then our worst fears have been realized... If what you told me is true, you have gained my trust..."
