i have done alot of work so far, i have cut the theatrical cut down to 68 mins

and was going to add alot of the workprint footage in to the new version,

the extended intro and party scenes as well as the first ending, then was going to fix up the quality, so you cant tell were the cut have been made

and make it a better film all round, i took a lot of pinhead out as the movie over used him making him some kind of anti hero.

I would be very interested in seeing your final results.

Bloodline was a much more rewarding experience than Hell On Earth but like all the Hellraiser films it could do with a lot of reworking and most of the material in the workprint was too good to chuck.

Rather than trying lift workprint material up (which would be impossible) why not find a video style that all the material can aspire towards?

For example, why not ditch the colour, downgrade the theatrical cut footage until it matches the best quality you can get the workprint material to and tint all the footage to create a unique but unified look to your cut?

No print of Nosferatu is up to scratch with the original prints but that doesn't detract from my enjoyment of various prints that are available out there.

I've always thought that the Hellraiser films (all of them including the first one) though full of really good ideas are smeared with so much cheese it detracts from the viewing experience.

I realise that some fans adore the "let's get the hell out of here" style lines and the obvious America/UK location blur etc but if you are successful with this project  you may want to turn your eye to the whole set.

And by the whole set I include all (but the final) later sequels which are nowhere near as bad as some fans make out.

Inferno (for all of Clive's bitching) is closer to the feel of the original source material (his own The Hellbound Heart) than any of the films he and his pals made.

Hell On Earth has some good moments in it which might be better served dropped into the narrative of one of the other films.

that is very true i am a huge fan of the series, but i can admit that they could be alot better, after number 5 they kind of lost there way, but are still good movies. i would work on as many as i can but bloodline has so much to work with, so that is why i chose this first, the workprint had so much good stuff and the studio cut so much out. so i am hoping to fix the studios mistake,

i would love to find out if there are any deleted scenes to any other hellraisers mostly 1 to 5 please.

Any chance of putting up a screen capture to show us what the tinted and treated footage looks like?
