Heres my thought on the dark fight scene.

Extremely quick design, took me few minutes to do to illustrate my point.

I think it should be even darker than that. So all we see are the blades and maybe the barely-there hint of a face in the blade-light, but again, barely. I think only seeing blades twirling in the dark, and the occasional stab glow, would be disorienting and confusing for the viewer, which is exactly how the Jedi would feel, until the lights come up and we realize that what we just saw and heard were the deaths of three freaking Jedi Masters.
