Would i be wrong in saying that PT was supposed to show a world 'more advanced' and that the OT was then suppossed to show a world that had 'gone backwards' under the rule of the Empire?
With the entire economy of the Galaxy at it's disposal things should get more advanced look how Germany picked up once Hitler took over (not in a nice way mind...art went downhill, ethics and compassion went out the window but technology picked up a pace).
There's also the fact that much of the plot of the OT is technologically-driven, namely the Death Stars, and that in general war accelerates technological development.

I really don't think ESB needs anything added and the SE is a good example of that.
Read it through... twice.
Yeah, that made me do a double take, too! Wait, what's going on with this project? lol
I was talking about adding scenes when someone asked if i would be using any of the deleted scenes from the Blu-Ray set.
Don't sweat it, Ady. I knew exactly what you meant. Taking the quote out of context is definitely eyebrow raising, however! :)

This is EXACTLY how I see it. The panache and beauty of the galaxy deteriorates as the Empire builds up an invincible war machine. I can only imagine that Coruscant would look quite different from Episode III (read: more militaristic) if it was seen in the later episodes... I mean, apart from the celebration at the end of RotJ.

I didn't say i was planning on making the interiors more like the OT, i have said that i want some of the CG backgrounds to look less like a video game and more realistic by using real miniature sets
It's not even that they need to be replaced with miniatures, they just need some softer focus and a sense of depth. That's the problem with a lot of CG, Star Wars or otherwise - they spent so much effort on it that they want you to see all their work so EVERYTHING is sharp and crystal clear no matter how close or far away from you it's supposed to be.
Check out this pic - http://www.foundation3d.com/gallery/data/512/Quiet_Night.jpg - everything in that shot is diffused and blended such that it doesn't scream "LOOK AT ME, I'M CG!"
My outlook on life - we’re all on the Hindenburg anyway…no point fighting over the window seat.
If it was simply a galaxy deteriorating under the thumb of the Empire, then it would be technology from the PT deteriorating. Instead, it's as if the sleek tech of the PT were destroyed and replaced with less-advanced tech. That makes no sense, which is why Ady is going to try to fix it.
It's the PT that should've been made in line with the OT level of technology, not the other way round.

... and so we conclude that the PT should've never been done, for the sake of our mental sanity ;)

haha yes I agree.
I have been keeping up with the project via facebook, but I miss these forums =) Fortunately I appear to have missed out on an R2 sock debate though, so for that I am thankful

At the minute the PT doesn't exist in my head, I've divorced myself from it and most of the SE material..........(bit like Alien3 & Alien Resurrection.........Jaws 3 & Jaws the Revenge) They are poor sequels that have tainted the originals.
The Original Trilogy.............(and of course Adys SW:R)

I'm really, really sorry cause it's way off topic, but I couldn't resist it... I found this photo of Jake Lloyd (little Ani in the PT) now in his twenties, and I said to myself "Boy! Definitely, he is not the chosen one".
Happy week-end to everyone! :)

Here here, I concur. Everyone stop panicking! :) We know what you mean Ady, that's what I tried to imply as well.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if he had the exact same haircut as in the film?

Hey now, let's lay off Jake Lloyd. He was just a kid, he did his best, it wasn't his fault; Lucas put him in a position to fail. Even he knows TPM sucked.
All in all, he's probably a pretty cool guy. Imagine if you had to carry around something you did when you were 8 years old. Imagine if everyone only knew you from that role you played when you were a kid.
Cut the guy some slack.

DAMN, off-topic again!
"Darth Vader... tall and threatening in his black helmet, flowing black cape, and a face, forever masked, by a foreboding metal breath screen...
Darth Vader... a figure, who moves forever in a cloud of awesome evil!"
I know him from a few episodes of "The Pretender" too. Just sayin'. :p
I saw a review for the video game Star Wars: The Battle for Hoth for the iPhone, and there are clips from the movie in it. Not surprisingly, they were very blue.
Interesting story, I use to go to the same grade school as Jake Lloyd, Park Tudor in Indianapolis. I was a lot younger than him, so I never saw him. Or my parents where just lieing to me so I'd go to school....
Ok, back to the topic: Is anyone else annoyed by Yoda's eyes when he says "You will be", his eyes look cross-eyed in my opinion.... Atleast it isn't as bad as RotJ, that has to be one of my biggest complaints about RotJ, hopefully it'll be fixed in RotJ:R though :)

Yes, that would be great. You should replace some of the planets in the background with matte paintings if you could as well.
I wouldn't go THAT far...
I did a search and didn't see it mentioned, but on the battle of Hoth, in a few scenes the wing flaps on the snow speeders open on the wrong side of the craft for the direction they are going. The best example is around 28:21 (after the AT-AT "commander" (?) pulls down the viewfinder), where the left flaps opens and the speeders go right.
Having played Rogue Squadron years ago and from watching the majority of the speeders, they get the flaps right, but a few of them are off. If you increase air resistance on one side, you will pivot to that side. A majority of the changes people have listed would have escaped me, but this stood out for some reason.
Awesome job Adywan and everyone else for all the work and releases so far.
I believe this has already been dicussed at some lenght but I'm not sure about the outcome of that particular discussion.
Ah, I just did another search for flaps and saw the discussion about adding flaps where there weren't any, but not about subtracting flaps where there shouldn't be one, lol. Perhaps that is assumed and I'm being pedantic. Thanks!
Oh, right, that's possible. Like I said, I didn't remember it that well, so it might have been that. I hope someone will be able to give you a more conclusive answer :-)
