It is a bit bizarre but it seems that being in the UK is an advantage for Ebaying for laserdisc players.

There are a number of them up at the moment on Ebay UK (the problem being not so much the shipping charges which shouldn't be that much but more the hidden charge of customs the saga of Adywan's monitor springs painfully to mind).

It's worth a look though as some of them could fit well into your price bracket even with the charges if you get lucky (though you might end up paying to ship a second hand disc collection as well...maybe asking the seller if they want to put the disc in for a second auction might save on postage).

None of them really leap off the page in terms of video noise reduction.
