maybe should have called this game AeroShock or something with their long-running *Shock name other than BioShock.

Ha, I also thought AeroShock would have been a good name for the game (as BioShock followed SystemShock). I guess at this point, they feel the need to play off of the "BioShock" name since it has become such a popular brand.

So I've been playing Zelda 2 on NES for a while now, and I don't see why everybody hates on it so much. I LOVE this game!

I think it is because everyone just gives up too easily. Yeah, it is a really awesome game! As much as I loved Ocarina of Time, which many people proclaim as the best Zelda ever, I still have to put it below Zelda 2 on my list (proceeded by the original and A Link to the Past).

Oh, yeah.  I finally beat Zelda II two years ago, and I thought it was awesome!  Loved it!

Not sure if I could have beaten it without a bit of internet help, but still I consider it to be vastly underrated.

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

Yeah... but at this point (2 whole frinkin' years before release) lots of things can change.

I think it's funny that the plot (outside man hired to infiltrate the city to rescue a certain lady) is the one they started with and then abandoned for BioShock1.  I wonder if it will stick this time?

Psshhhhhhhh!  Why post your backlog there when you can post it here even though no one cares or comments on it?

(Psssst.  By the way, I finished Nuts & Bolts with all 131 Puzzle Pieces, so I started DarkSiders...)

DarkSiders (so glad you asked) is so far really good.  I'm about an hour or two in, but this is my kind of game.  Got mixed reviews, but I'm really happy with it.  The opening 15 minutes is a real kick to the head.

Interesting... is this legit?  You'll have to let us know- we're always scamming for some cheap points.  (I clicked it, by the way)

Lara Croft and the Something or Other is out today.  I downloaded the demo... I wonder if I'll ever try it.

As fate would have it, my wife and I played the demo last night.  I'm a pretty big fan of Tomb Raider games when they're good, and I thoroughly enjoyed all 3 games that have been released this generation.  I especially liked the balance of action and adventure in TR: Underworld, the most recent disc release, so I was a little upset when I saw this was the direction they had taken for the next game.  Then I heard it was going to be an XBLA game, and my heart softened to it somewhat, since it didn't seem designed to replace the series of full games.

And I'm here to say, both my wife and I really liked it.  It's $15 and there are 15 levels, which maybe average about half an hour each, with some limited replay.  It plays a little like the Lego co-op games and maybe a little more like the isometric Marvel games, but with just the two characters to focus on, the game can really make you think about how to use the differences the characters provide to solve the problems.  My wife commented that it was similar to the interaction in the Splinter Cell 3 & 4 co-op missions (climbing each other to get higher, lowering ropes to each other, etc.) but not as complex.

Still, because I'm so cheap, I might wait a year to see if it goes on sale ever or wait for another good deal on MS points... but I think the game is in our future.  (The future where we've finished Lego Batman, Indy and Harry Potter and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2).

*Warning: There is on-couch Co-op now.  On-line co-op doesn't work until September sometime when the PS3 and PC versions are released.

So I'm considering buying a PS2 slim and a ton of games for it.

Don't forget Shadow of the Colossus and Ico, they are not to be missed. I'd also highly recommend Citizen Kabuto, I tend to recommend it everytime I get the chance because it is such an awesome game, but my recommendations usually fall on deaf ears and I have actually never met another person who has played it (that I know of). I usually see copies of it at Gamestops for $1.99 (though the PC version is superior to the PS2 port).

Half-Life is another game I would recommend for the PS2, even if you have played the PC version, I found it fun to have on a console.

The graphics for the PS2 release of HALF-LIFE has slightly better graphics/meshes or something compared to the PC release. Still waiting for Black Mesa but who knows? I am heavily considering the Dynasty Warriors games.

Well that was short lived.  You were slow, yes, but what happened to sturdy?

Does this mean I should remove you from my friends list?  Or do I just wait until you trade it back... And what happened to all of your 360 games you just bought?

The PSP never really appealed to me. I mean, having games like FF7 to play again is one thing, but having to play it on a portable device is kind of a turn-off for me. I know I could pick it up on the PS3, but it never really appealed to me either.

I'm about gaming with my friends, and since I only have two friends who game who only have PS3s, I think I'm doing well.

Plus we wouldn't have been able to talk to xhonzi and C3PX!

Wow, didn't you just recently get your 360? Whoever you traded with sure made out like a bandit! I am assuming it was a straight up trade, your 360 and games for his PSP and games?

Never had the slightest interest in the PSP myself. I have a DS, but only use it for emulation (GB, NES, SNES, SCUMMVM), and ebook reading.

So, who is up for some L4D or something this weekend?

I am totally free and the risk of something else coming up that I feel obligated to participate in, resulting with me once again blowing you guys off, is absolutely none existent!

So, who is with me and when?
