Believe me, Mr. Warbler, I know of your fine cuisine. My host's family sometimes has the meat shipped out because it's that much better. In fact, I believe they're actually from the city...

interesting. Then I am sure they will make sure you try some tasty cakes. Soft Pretzels can also be good here.
Please also remember there many other fine places to visit other than just Independence Hall. There is the Liberty Bell, the House of Betsy Ross, the house where Thomas Jefferson lived while he was here, the area where Franklin's House used to be, the Philadelphia Zoo, the Constitution Center, the Philadelphia Museum of Art(people seem to enjoy running up the steps for some reason, but don't forget the art inside), the Franklin Institute. You may also wish to check out some of our fine athletic teams(but be warned, the home crowd can be hard on those that cheer for the visiting teams).
btw, if you have any cowboy apparel, may I suggest you leave them at home?
THE BITCH IS BACK! Also, remember that although I'm in LA my parents are both familiar with the area. I've done all of those but the Museum of Art pervious, I think... did go see the Phillies though, shame we lost that game. BUT WHO CARES, I WAS WITH FAMILY.
