While he was still married he employed her and then entered into a relationship with her which went sour later.

If someone is trying to extort money out of you illegally let the lawyers sort it out and cut all ties with the person.
Violence + a child + plus sexist, racist rants on tape = Almost Worst Case Scenario (if he had murdered her as well he would have got the full set).
Gibson can afford the best common sense money can buy (advice) he should buy some of that and lay off the booze a bit more.
Yeah exactly. Beating on her and threatening to kill her is not the answer, and doing it with a child around can not be defended.
What is funny is he wanted to be the poster boy the for Christians but he only got into this mess because he had sex outside of marriage. If he had not done that she would not have had his kid and she wouldn't be able to get any money out of him.
So glad this ended his time on the A list and he no longer gets big roles.
