That is an interesting can of worms, but if Nerfherder's earlier quotation can be relied upon, and I think it can, and this was cut from the final cut during post production, then the trailers might well have been completed before then.
Yeah, that trailer would have been completed and shipped out to theaters long before the FX were finished, and probably before the music was completed, as well.
If the cut-scene was chopped at the last minute, they would have already gone with the green saber by then.
