If that is the case, EU has developed a story around a videoflaw in the film ;) The lightsaber in that shot was originally blue, you can see this in various earlier transfers, the color is just washed out in the GOUT and the '97SE transfer.

I wonder what the EU have to say about the yellow TIE lasers in GOUT-Empire. ;)
