It looks okay and all, but..."savage oppressor"? Really?
Darth Maul's brother... really?? Geez, you might as well just bring back Maul from the dead if you're going the soap-opera way.
Anyway, some of it looks cool, too big I think, it's hard to believe all this happened between the movies. Still I try not to be too hard on the show, it's being made to sell toys, but there's nothing wrong with that, I used to love He-Man when I was a child afterall.
Consistency is its biggest problem (well continuity too), some episodes have been good, others have been really lame.
It could have been worse like Jar Jar's brother was revealed, lol.
Maul's race are not exclusively Sith some have been Jedi.
They could have just introduced another of his race as a sith apprentice, Maul having a brother is something ridiculous only Lucas could have come up with, or fanboys.
Why would they emperor need Anakin/Vader if he has another Maul.
The clone wars has consistently crapped all over continuity even more so than the prequels which is surprising.
I have for the most part enjoyed the animated series a lot more than i did the prequels which were garbage. See if other writers and artists are involved star wars is better, what ever was crap about clone wars i attribute to Lucas solely. The people making these are fans of the old films you can see the love is clearly there.
I mean even bioware's star wars EU stuff is better than anything Lucas has done since before after 1983 for star wars.
“Always loved Vader’s wordless self sacrifice. Another shitty, clueless, revision like Greedo and young Anakin’s ghost. What a fucking shame.” -Simon Pegg.
The animation looks great. Loved how they did Kamino's whole environment.

Posted this in another thread, but I'm really looking forward to Darth Paul.*
I really don't understand the complain. Isn't Darth Maul supposed to have a family?
While I am no massive fan of the Prequels I must say I have been thoroughly enjoying The Clone Wars and this trailer makes me even more excited about Season 3 then I already was.
The Kamino storyline looks to tie in with the episode Rookies from season one. It also looks as though the clones will be getting their MKII armour this season. As for Darth Mauls brother, you have to take the rough with the smooth I suppose.

Why?
What would his nephews call him - Uncle Maul?
The Maul's brother bit will be small potatoes for EU fans when they find out about Zabraks actually being the male form of Dathomir witches.
Here's what you can expect from Season 3:

So, anybody watch the premiere tonight?
The Citadel training area for the clones looks a lot like a map from Star Trek Elite Force. The Japanese hotel style barracks were neat too.
I smiled at the THX-1138 reference.

That summary is kinda crappy, it got the jist of it but mangled a few points.
As for the premiere of season 3, I thought it was great! Wish they had squeezed in Rookies between the two new eps but it was still great. It really shows that the series shines when the stories are told in three part arcs. Even retroactively like this one.
Loved the premiere, didn't even realize the first episode was a prequel to Rookies! I really seem to like the episodes where none of the main characters have much to do with it. While Anakin was in the second episode, he didn't do much, but I was surprised in what he did do. Instead of trying to arrest Ventriss, he was going to have the clones execute her. Finally, a hint of dark side!
Last week's episode wasn't terrible. Sure, it was Jar Jar, but he did what he does best, and they freaking went to Toydaria! I love Toydarians! The Jedi responsible for the Twi'leks was also great, brought a tear to my eye by the end.
That's what Clone Wars is able to do: make me emotional for characters. Even identical characters, or characters that are only around for that one episode.
On a side note, I like that all of the ship commanders look like they're the guys from Tarkin's Conference Room. A lovely tie in. Which reminds me, that's who this series needs: Tarkin. Not Greedo.

Oh god noooooooooo!, Lucash put Tarkin at the end of episode III, i don't want any more ruining of the oot.

IIRC, Anakin Force-choked someone for information last season. Not what a Jedi is supposed to do.
One of the ship commanders is one of the guys in the conference room!

I think we might see Tarkin eventually, as we're getting closer to the events of Episode III. Hopefully they could get someone that sounds like a younger Peter Cushing.

And don't forget the time he snuck up and stabbed someone from behind like all of the sith have been doing since season 1.

"Supply Lines" was a great episode. Not only they got Jar Jar right, but the last stand of Master Di makes it one of my favourite moments of the whole series.
That and "ARC Troopers" are the best episodes so far. And that includes the latest "Sphere of Influence".
