Note: thanks to one guy who prefered asking instead of searching by himself on another of my threads, I had to remove the undirect links that leaded my works.

ABC doesn't like forum rules.

Clearly he's mad because your question led to Moth3r asking him to follow the forum rules. Somehow this is your fault instead of his.

Why do you bump the threads if you are not going to support them?

... justly, I bumped it because as far as my work is still available, I like to see people take advantage of this. When it's not available anymore (what generally means it doesn't worth so much attention), I don't care no more. 'That simple.

Edit: Perhaps you missed the fact that I'm the author and the original uploader of the stuff (yeah, double profile may be confusing... Sorry).

 oh, and by the way...

Somehow this is your fault instead of his.

... Go and read again the post in the OE thread as I edited it 24 hours ago. As I say, it was my fault: lack of discretion... I CAN watch myself in a mirror, do you Frink ? (This guy is in love with rules).

The rules exist for a reason.

Actually rules exist for many reasons... It doesn't keep one from bypassing them if he is clever or discreet enough... As if the mods are cool enough btw

Damn ! The swot strikes back !

You think posting some dude's asshole is clever and discreet?  I guess we'll see how "cool" the mods are.

Are you talking about a 15th century flemish painting I posted? ! lol !... Would be amazing to see the mods ban me for that under your insistance. And yes, it was cleverly used, no matter the shape.

I'm quoting D_J for the last time... Don't insist. You'll be happy when you'll see I can't post anymore !

... Quoted for being on topic.

And thank D_J to let me think this work is worth the listen :)

I recently noticed the "Ice Planet" in the film has the famous SE 15 sec "missing bit" with a repetition in it, what is not the case on my edit.

... is this "edit" of the 35mm or 70mm version?

Is the difference about the "Rebel Fleet/End Title" ?

If so, at that time I wasn't able to make the difference between the film and the album(s) versions. Didn't notice there was an Alt "March" version, and an alt intro for the Alt march... So this one being from the Anthology CD2 is a melt: the album intro of the March with the film version that follows it.

As noted in the OP post, "the Rebel Fleet" is extended with the missing album bit, when both the 35mm and the 70mm have this extension cut. The only difference between these two as far as I have understood is a slight different edit due to a different film montage.

We had about two pages of discussion about that with msycamore in the ESB Optimum Edition thread (said if you missed it).

I hope it helps.

Anyway, the Anthology mostly used here has been made with mostly the final 35mm definitive version of the score as mixed by Tomlinson, despite some changes in the film.

I'd like to say to finish that my "film cut edit" is a little rough if you consider my last works on Empire. It is also sonically inferior to the laters regarding the sources. Check the samples if you haven't (see my signature + OP post). And this one is about to blow everything  - with subtlety of course, hehe.

Just spotted, watching Adywan's reconstruction recently, and now that I really know that score note per note that it misses a couple of things in the current version I made...

There are special little variations in editing here and there... Notably in "Battle In The Snow" (a very subtle edited bit), a repetion I missed in "Luke's first crash", a subtle variation in the "Asteroid field" near the begining (though I wonder if it's not simply a bad edit in the film), what else ?... Oh yeah: the "City In The Clouds" have not the 9 first sec. segment in the film, "The Magic Tree" I made must be the SE version, not the original... And also spotted the "Hyperspace" track had special edit in the film (same kind than "Snowspeeders")...

There may be more, but frankly, even with the more rudimentary digital tools (I used audacity for the AE), anyone will be able to make a new and accurate version if he wills. The only matter is to know the score very well.

Just so you know. ;)

Edit: Anyone is invited to feed this thread (or another) with a new version, of course ! I don't know if I'll make one myself.

*UPDATE*

Forget this topic guys. There's a lot of details that are wrong in this set.

You will find the accurate film version reconstruction + the unused original score as prepared for the final cut here.

The End.
