Absolutely no fucking way will I touch another HALO game...

I am kind of feeling the same way. Might change my mind, Halo did provide some fun co-op, and Reach sounds like it will be really overhauled. I think it is how archiac that Halo feels as a shooter than prevents me from enjoying it these days. Shooters have just evolved to offer so much more, and Halo 3 all in all really hasn't come that far from the original Halo. Neither did ODST, but I felt it made some fun improvements that made it worth while. If Reach feels like it has made an effort to modernize itself, and is not just more Halo 3, which was just more Halo 2, which was just more Halo... then I might be able to get behind it.

ODST's atmosphere and the fact that you were no longer an over powered super hero is really what appealed to me about it. In this regard, Reach just feels like a massive step back to me, now instead of just two super heroes, we get a whole team of them!!!!!!!!1 And some of them are sporting really badass armor and attitudes!!!!!!!!!!!11! Like Master Chef only more awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111!1

they've already anounced the next one [Bishock Infinite].

Whoa! This is the first I have heard of this! I just did a quick google search and got and saw a few screen shots. I am actually really excited about this now! I am so happy they are leaving Rapture at the bottom of the sea and going for a different story. One visit left us hungry for a return, two visits was just enough. There are other interesting stories along those same lines to be told, and I am really excited to see they are doing that!

EDIT: Trailer had me grinning like an idiot. Absolutely awesome idea! Loved the opening. Bioshock 2's trailers and advertisements got me excited, but the actually game failed to keep my interest for long (for one, I think it felt too much like I was playing the first game again and the appeal of the first game to me was the fact that it was so unique and different. When a sequel feels like it could have been a really long expansion pack for the first game, then I feel it kind of fails as a sequel... though I give L4D2 a pass on having that same issue, since in its case a really long expansion pack was exactly what I think a lot of us, myself included, wanted).
