Well if the speed goes unchanged from the (HD) source, then the PAL DVD release will be inconsistent...

Quoted from Ady's ANH:R thread:

No, this is a PAL project because i wanted to work with the highest quality picture available (the HD version wasn't available at the time) plus i live in PAL country. Because i will be doing both NTSC & PAL for the DVD i render a PAL master of just the video first and then use Virtualdubmod to then create a NTSC master. All i have to do is resize it to 720x480 and change the framerate to 23.976. Then i just convert the audio from 25fps pitch to 23.976fps pitch using Vegas and that's it.

My understanding of this is that the framerate for the PAL release remained at 25fps, whilst the NTSC utilized pitch correction and a framerate change.

My point is, unless Ady speeds it up by 4% for his PAL release, it will be inconsistent with the speed and pitch of his ANH:R PAL release.

Or am I completely wrong? Lol.

Edit: Also, I'm very confused by what Ady says about just changing the pitch of the audio. Surely to match the new framerate, the speed would have to change also?

I'm very curious about this for my own project too.
