this isn't Florida. No hanging chads to worry about here.
Ha-ha, I got you resume talking about politics. IT WAS A TRAP!!!
The final vote tally:
Sluggo: Yea
Darth Solo: Yea
Doubleofive: Nay
CompMovie: Nay
C3PX: Nay
ABC: Nay
Frink: Yea
Captainsolo: Yea
Bkev: Nay
Xhonzi: abstained
Bingowings: ballot invalidated(so far)
4 Yeas 5 Nays and 1 abstention
THE NAYS HAVE IT. WARBLER WILL NOT RESUME TALKING ABOUT POLITICS.
I haven't voted. That's what I say: you hear things like you want them to fall in your ears. But that's typical of a polilitical attitude.
first you said:

You take the political way here again... I think you care too much about how others look at you / think about you / think about what you think. Why don't just be yourself ?
... Nyeay!
then I said:

I shall assume you mean "Nay", and shall count that as your official vote.
then you said:

And you shouldn't care about my vote (that wasn't)
then I asked:

are you saying you want your ballot invalidated?
you replied:
A B C said:
Haha ! I'm saying I don't WANT anything! Who am I to request something from you ?
you declined to tell me to invalidate you vote, even though I asked you if that was what you wished to do. You declined to tell me to invalidate your vote knowing that without it being invalidated, your vote would count as a Nay vote. The vote stands.

Nay. Something's wrong if you feel the need to put it to a vote.
Let go, I already tried.
PS: ... and I said Nayea, stucking my finger on my desk when I posted... He heard "nay"...
You forgot that one, Hahaha !!! All that is ridiculous. But nevermind, just go on doing what you do the best, if it's the best you can do.
*sigh*
He is right Warb, you are hearing what you want to hear. Even though you know my vote was determined by something as silly as a coin toss, and even though I very clearly expressed that I would like to continue discussing politics with you, you still put more merit in my superficial "nay" than my expressed feelings. With the ending votes at 4 yeas to 5 nays, without my superficial coin-tossed-determined-nay, you would have been at a tie.
ABC said "Nyeay!", which I took to be a nay+yea hybrid, mocking your silly "election" in much the same way I was doing with my coin toss. Take that into account, and two of your "nays" are superficial, and looking deeper you would see that, as ABC would put it, they are votes that "were not" :)
CompMovieGuy doesn't even talk politics and obviously just plain out doesn't like you, and yet you still put much merit in his opinion on the matter.
However, in conclusion realizing how seriously you took this election and the opinions (or non-opinions) of people that should not even matter now has me convinced your decision not to discuss politics is a wise one. You are obviously not out to earn or gain anything, but simply to remain fixed in your ways. In such an event, keeping them inside your head or discussing them only with people equally fixed on likeminded ideas is probably the best policy to maintain.

both you and ABC could easily have changed your votes before the deadline. You guys could have easily told me invalidate your votes or changed them to "abstained". You guys didn't do either. You guys knew without doing either of the above, that your votes would go into the books as "Nay" votes. What does that say?

What does that say ?...
It says we don't give a damn about your childish "vote". So why we should ask you to remove our "voices" (read jokes) when it makes you happy to have these to make what you want ? Read again: we don't care.
We're just pointing out now how ridiculous is all what you turn into a serious affair.
I'm not willing to enter your life, but man, this topic should be called:
"SHOULD WARB FIND HIMSELF A REAL LIFE ?"
... (edited the bad taste add).
You don't imagine how much we get from you through your posts ...
: ( *sigh* maybe you're right : (
C3PX is 200% right. I mean it. I just don't speak English enough to echo what he says with as much class or tact, nor accuracy. I'd have liked to quote him line by line for how much my feelings are the same regarding your behaviour: you don't want to change a damn thing in it.
You really want to know what I think now, rather than how I feel about you ?...
Lazzy Warb, is lazzy.

I'll respond to the rest later on. All I want to say for now is that the above, went too far.

That was really uncalled for.

I was about to edit my post and add ("if I ment to be nasty") next to the 2nd proposition. Too late. My apologies for that.
ps: edited though.
I think its best for me to take step away from the forum for a little while. So, that's what I'm going to do.
ok, after having taken a couple hours break before responding to ABC, I am back.

that's fine, no one said you had to give a damn. Please remember that you do not speak for C3PX, he can decide for himself whether or not he gives a damn about this "childish vote"
twice I listed the vote tally, twice it said that both C3PX and ABC voted nay. You two had plenty of time to change your votes, you didn't. That says to me that you didn't mind too much having your votes go into the books as "nay" votes.
ABC, if you truly don't give a damn about the "childish vote", why argue over how your vote is counted. In fact, why are you even posting in this thread. Of course, you have the right to post in what ever thread you want. But I can't help but ask why someone whom doesn't give a damn about the vote on which this thread is based would post here.

again this and the deleted comment were uncalled for. You don't think I know I need to get a life? trust me, I know. I don't have any real life friends and never had a girl friend. I KNOW I need a life. I don't need you to tell me that.

that is incorrect, I do want to change some things, and have changed others. For example, the old me would reacted alot worse to your post. The old me might really lost it and posted an angry flame back at you, laced with obscenities. The old me might asked the mods to ban you. Change is very difficult for me and hard for me to do. But I am trying.
One thing to note: I am trying to change because I think I need to. I don't think I need to change just because YOU think I need to. I will decide whether or not I change and what I will change.
A B C said:

again an uncalled for insult. I beat myself up enough. I don't need you to do it for me.
ABC, I'm trying to be very patient with you. Maybe a lot of this is due to the fact that you can't clearly speak English. We are obviously two very different people. That is fine. What is not fine is the fact that I get the idea that you look down upon me because I am different from you, because I think different than you and have a different personality than you. You seem to have made you mind up about me and I am tired of that. I am tired of reading your judgments about me. I am tired of your "lessons". I am tired of your confusing posts. Quite frankly, I am tired of you. Please know this, I am very close to putting you on ignore.
I made very clear here:
Warbler said:
I'm going to put it up for a vote.
All those whom think I should resume talking politics on the forum, vote yea. Those whom think I shouldn't, vote nay. I will abide by the majority.
Voting will end at the end of Friday, exactly at 12 AM 08/07/2010 (Eastern Standard Time).
Let voting commence.
(Just so it is clear whatever the results, I will not bring up the situation of Ferris ignoring me ever again.)
What I intended to do in this thread. That is exactly what I have done. I have done it as fairly and objectively as I could.
A B C said:

In my opinion, you only edited one of the two uncalled for items.
Warbler said:
I don't think I need to change just because YOU think I need to.

Do you see now ?
Bye.
PS: read my posts again please, cause it appears someone here understand very well the ideas from my posts, even if I'm of another language, and he can see I'm just trying to help you, what you take for a "superior" attitude. And I don't speak for him, I just know.

I was having difficulty deciding the issue, so decided to put it up for a vote. Its as simple as that.
A B C said:he can see I'm just trying to help you,
insulting me and calling me lazy and telling me to get a life and a wife must be some new method of helping that I've never heard of before.

It says we thought the whole thing was really stupid.

maybe, but also says you didn't mind you votes being counted as nay votes. You could easily have avoided it if you did.
it would have been this simple:
C3PX said:
Warbler, I'd like to switch my vote "abstained"
A B C said:
Warbler, I'd like to switch my vote to Yea
C3PX/A B C said:
Warbler, I'd like to have my vote invalidated
that was all either of you needed to do, and you didn't. You didn't, knowing your votes would be counted as nay votes.
You don't care? fine.
you think its stupid? fine.
sorry I ever asked anyone's opinion.
THE ELECTION IS HEREBY THROWN OUT.
happy now?
but I still am not going to resume talking about politics because of this:

I suspect C3PX maybe correct here

Oddly, while ABC and I speak differently languages, we seem to communicate with each other very well. He didn't have to speak for me on how childish I thought your vote was, I made it clear myself by stating how ridiculous (or childish, if you will) I thought the vote was from the very beginning, added with my coin toss, which was meant to drive my point home, but you took it seriously.
Or, rather than saying all of that, I could simply say ABC is right, I don't give a damn about your childish vote, I think it was silly and that you simply used it as a means to ignore the opinions that should have really mattered while childishly taking pressure off of yourself. Now if you are ever tempted to join in a political discussion, you can simply reason with yourself that you cannot do it because the community doesn't want you to.
twice I listed the vote tally, twice it said that both C3PX and ABC voted nay. You two had plenty of time to change your votes, you didn't. That says to me that you didn't mind too much having your votes go into the books as "nay" votes.
We both made it clear that we thought your election was really stupid and wanted no part of it. And we both reasoned with you that our votes should not really be counted, but I don't think either of us really wanted to reach down to the level of actually playing along and asking you to "invalidate" our votes, especially not when we had already made clear how we felt.

Because the way you are acting is really weird and at the same time really annoying. I never gave a damn about your election, but I do give a damn about you and our discussions.

I think ABC is frustrated because you make it so clear that "you don't have a life" when all you need to do is stand up and pick one up if you want one, but you make it abundantly clear on these forums that you have no desire to do so.
"Real life friends"? What are real life friends? Obviously I know what you mean, and I sympathize with you. But I am a real person, and I consider you my friend. Would that have been any different if I met you in real life? I don't see why not. We may live a long ways away, and never have met face to face, but I still consider you a friend. If I was ever passing through the Philly area, I would PM you and see if we could met up. I'd PM you my phone number and tell you to call me whenever you are bored or need someone to talk to, would that make me more of a real friend?
Sorry if you feel like ABC and I have been judging you. That really wasn't my intention, and I am pretty sure it wasn't ABC's either. To be honest, I am just annoyed that you put so much merit into this whole stupid election thing, and won't be having anymore political discussion just because of it. Hopefully you will still be active in other off-topic forums, I'd miss you if you just disappeared.
