Boba Fett in Force unleashed II sounds like Jango Fett.

He does not sound like Boba Fett from either the 1980 or 1997 Empire Strikes Back, but like the Bad Boba Fett redub of 2004.

What other bad prequels or 2004 special edition nonsense do you think Lucas will put into the game?

“Always loved Vader’s wordless self sacrifice. Another shitty, clueless, revision like Greedo and young Anakin’s ghost. What a fucking shame.” -Simon Pegg.

It's not too much of a surprise. They'd already done it with his appearance in the Tatooine DLC for the first Force Unleashed. They're using Dee Bradley Baker who does the voice of the clone troopers for the Clone Wars.

The logic of Boba's own voice coming out of that helmet is at odds with the ability to blend into the crowd while out of the armor. Fett has gone incognito in the few EU novels I've read. It defeats the whole purpose of concealing his face.

You don't see Batman talking like Bruce Wayne in public!

Would Jason Wingreen have gotten residuals for his voice work in Empire?

It's almost as if the games aren't made with purists in mind, if you can imagine such a thing.

"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM

"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.

Yet another reason I laugh at those completist losers who think the EU is compatible with Lucas' craptastic saga.

Besides which, an accent isn't genetic, it's sociological. Especially if you are a child, accents are picked up from the environment you are in, but adults will have accent changes if they are outside of their native environments long enough too--Mel Gibson threatening to kill his wife doesn't anything like the Mel Gibson in Road Warrior. Boba Fett shouldn't sound like his father unless he was living in the Star Wars equivalent of New Zealand in between Attack of the Clones and Empire Strikes Back.

Its the perfect example of someone perceiving a hole that doesn't exist and then creating a problem in the films through the "fix" when nothing needed to be changed in the first place.
