I'm afraid it's Final Cut Pro, Bob. I basically want the movie in its original intended speed and pitch no matter which format it's in. I want a PAL release that's not sped up or high pitched, and likewise I don't want to settle for a mere pitch change when I convert it to NTSC as you folks in NTSC land are sure to notice it even more due to being used to no speedup.

As I've said, I've been able to slow it down 4%, but any scene change ends up with a slight fade due to the merging of frames on the added ones and it ends up overlapping at each cut.

A possible but time consuming solution would be to cut every single shot change, drag them all apart a distance one by one. Then do the slowdown and close all the gaps........I doubt I have the patience for that though.
