A Ric Olie post was deleted from the ESB:R thread. The post simply agreed with a previous post stating that people were grasping at straws trying to come up with new ideas. Of course it was done in bit speak, but so what?

I really like Caprica, I like it's slow pace and it's lack of entirely like-able characters because it fits the story they are telling. If it is (and it seems unlikely) allowed to continue it could lead into things like the first Cylon War but have a grounding which creates a new perspective.
The usual man vs machine story just takes the AI for granted (even BSG did to some extent) 'man makes machines they rebel'.
In Caprica the Cylon consciousness seems to be spiritual in the sense that they are based on (but not the same as) a simulacrum of dead person.
That gives the original Centurions (the ones that fight the first war) a whole new creepy angle.
I'd be really pissed off if we ended up with a cheap and nasty short lived Young Adama Series which just blew stuff up without getting a glimpse inside the minds of those metal giants.
