The artist angle appeals to me, maybe the fact that they are nozzles is making some kind of artistic statement.
It's not the commercial value perhaps but more an attempt at creating a discourse on disabling the artifice that surrounds us, taking "on tap" rain out of the social contract and returning us to a more animistic relationship with the elemental.

That's the thing none of the kids around here fit the bill and I can't imagine someone going that far to steal hose pipe nozzles.
I would like to see Crispin Glover as a Bond villain in the next film. If it's ever made that is. He has that functioning lunatic quality that a good Bond villain needs. It would be a great nod to his father, who had played one of the series's best henchmen in "Diamonds are Forever".

I can't say I agree with you about Diamonds Are Forever. Nothing was good about that movie, including the henchmen. However Crispen Clover maybe ok as Bond Villain.
