- UPDATE & UPGRADE -

Having some free time I took almost all of the AE back these days and after all the work I did I never thought there was so much possible remaining...

Overall:

EQs: I used this time a 20Khz parametric equalizator to handle the remaining brillance of many of the session mixes (layered or not) in the high freqs. It restored in the same time the dynamic range a little further... or more.

Balance: something I'd call a stereo conflict always bugged me in the layered tracks. Indeed I neglected the different balance settings between the session mixes and the album mixes, as I neglected to see how to fully explore the complementarity of these pairs of stereo. If you thought the layered tracks were incredible...
Another balance matter was about some mistakes I made myself. I restored all this fitting the closer as possible to the film version mixing as I learned to appreciate. The NPR Radio Drama excerpts were of a great help to do that for being very close to the film mixing. And I also found a couple of further corrections I hadn't managed before.

Obviously, everything sounds still better to me now, not to say at maximum quality (for these sources of course).

CD1:

15. Remixing: Jedi Master Revealed is now the film mix (instead of the SE remix) + RSO layer + Pitch correction on the wohole Mynock cave part & completion with the high dynamic range Radio Drama bit (thrilling part 1)
16. - re Bal. replaced with CD3 version. CD3 will have a louder synth layer.
17. - re Bal + re EQs
18. - light speed and pitch correction possible (not decided yet... a light one but a tough one!) Edit: Done & bit accurate

19. --- (maybe out)
20. --- (maybe out)
21. --- (maybe out) + new version of the complete "Space Slug" on CD3.
22. Now on CD3. Possible improvement of the Alt March part.

+ Alternate tracks (on an alternate set ?) with further restoration thanks to the higher dynamic range free parts I had from the NPR Radio Drama (thanks man!)...
I have in the idea to reedit the whole new set, why not like the SE did with suites. It would avoid confusions between the AE 1st version and the upgraded version.

... What about an "Imperial Edition" ?...
