Hmmm again....I heard they're all out of bubblegum.
Hmmm again....I heard they're all out of bubblegum.
Found 'em.
Those aren't Frink Boots, they're Capt. Action Boots!!!
*sob*
Fink, you openly weep more than anyone I know.
Was that out loud?
*silent sob*
TRADE!!!
*frink passes out*
Frink gets: 3B Alex Rodriguez NYY
Anchorhead gets: OF Nelson Cruz TEX, RP Octavio Dotel
Trades in our league are accepted by the commissioner, but since I have a vested interest I'll now solicit any objections. However, objections better be well-reasoned, as I think it's a very fair trade. Plus I'm adamant that the league has at least one trade this year ;-)
You have until Saturday 11 pm EST to complain.
Also, in case you are interested, our league Trade Deadline is August 15.
I can't see any reason to object. Btw, this Aug 15th deadline: does it apply only to trades or does it also apply to picking up free agents?
Trades only. Free agent moves can be made until end of year.
Does anyone need some good pitching? I wouldn't mind a slugger.
You want A-Rod? :p
I'm a good slugger.
I'm going to say this as calmly as I can:
Lidge must go.
Trade between Frink and Anchorhead is completed. Rosters for Sunday August 1st reflect trade.
Lidge is for sale, anyone interested?
Pass.
*sigh*
anyone else?
Last reminder, trade deadline is this Sunday.
Lidge is still for sale.
Warb, why you drop Dunn? You DL'd your catcher, which gave you an open roster spot to pick up Olivo. No need to drop anyone.
Want it reversed?
for some reason, I thought I already had filled up all my DL spots. When I realized that wasn't true, I had already let Dunn go. I tried to pick him up again, but the computer wouldn't allow it, something about wavers.
When a player is dropped, he's placed on 2 day waivers. Everyone has a chance to put in a claim on that player, and at the end of the 2 days, whomever has the highest waiver priority gets him. The other rule is that if you are the one who made the drop, you can't put in a waiver claim, although you can pick him up as a free agent after 2 days if no one put in a waiver claim.
However, I can put him back on your team since you didn't want/need to drop him. Shall I?
if there is no objection, please do so.
TV's Frink said:
whomever has the highest waiver priority gets him.
how is waiver priority determined?
Waiver priority was determined at the beginning of the year based on reverse order of draft - 10th pick in the draft got 1st waiver priority, 9th pick got 2nd waiver, and so on.
When you make a successful claim, you go to the back of the priority list and everyone else moves up one spot.
Of course, no one has made any waiver claims in this league...
