Thanos really exists ???!!!!! (And he lost his gauntlet)

Conclusion: there's no master in the universe for now... I may not have heard about the "Infinity Condom" though.

Ok, I must not be as big of a nerd as I thought I was.  What is that gauntlet thing?

I was fully expecting this to be an essay on the way that Gauntlet would eat your quarters with no remorse for all of infinity.

Sigh.  I only ever played Gauntlet Legends on my N64.

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

That's one of the saddest things I've ever heard.  You haven't lived until you have emerged from an empty* smoke-filled arcade at 2 am with no money and no bus to take you home.

The Infinity Gauntlet is central to the Thanos / Adam Warlock storylines.  It's really at the core of Cosmic Marvel, or Marvel Comics IIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNN SSSSSSSSSSSSSPPPPPPPPPPPAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCCCEEEEEEEEE.

There are 6 Infinity Gems that control different elements of space and time, and they are meant to be guarded/used by 6 separate individuals so that no one person has too much power.  Thanos conquered each of the owners of the gems and assembled them all into a single glove- The Infinity Gauntlet.  Then he started to wreak havoc on all of the Marvel Universe and everybody got together to shut him down.

The gauntlet itself is pretty cool, but the way they showed it at Comic Con seemed to indicate that it is a prop for one of the upcoming movies.  If they go straight to the gauntlet in the first Avengers movie, I would be shocked and cautiously excited.  It would probably fall flat on its face, but it would be something like a nerd dream come true.

Other than that, it might've shown up in the Silver Surfer movie that was going to be made after FF2, but I don't think that movie is still in production.

And before I hop down off of this soapbox, the Annihilation & Annihilation Conquest epics and the followon Guardians of the Galaxy & Nova series are really great Space Fantasy/Sci-Fi.  I haven't read all of War of Kings, yet, but I've enjoyed what I've read so far.

this sounds like Marvel's version of Crisis On Infinite Earths.

The Marvel Heroes Secret Wars are usually cited as "Marvel's Crisis on Infinite Earths" despite the fact that that the Marvel series ran from May 1984 to April 1985 and COIE ran from April 1985 to March 1986.  I'm not sure why DC is given so much credit when Marvel did theirs a full year earlier.

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CrisisCrossover

However, it's true that Marvel and DC sort of fed off of each other's successes.  Infinity Gauntlet (Series) might not have been greenlit or pushed as hard without the success of COIE.  But COIE might not have blah blah blah without Marvel Heroes Secret Wars.

"Secret Wars" was nothing more than a mash of super heroes ! (imo)

You know, it just occurred to me that if I wanted to really stay on-topic, I would need to post so many pictures of Gauntlet that it would break the forum.

As opposed to what?  The Avengers is just a mash of super heroes, Justice League is just a mash of super heroes, COIE is just a mash of super heroes, Watchmen is just a mash of super heroes...

The Marvel and DC Universes are just a mash of super heroes.

Right?

Or is there something else you're trying to say?

Right?

A mash, as opposed to a group.

Perhaps was I trying to say something indeed... Marvel & Co or let's say film industry tested the market with their super-heroes things here and there, and now they will begin with cross overs, making quantity instead of quality... though... There wasn't any great Marvel heroe film I can remember right now. There was just some worst than the others. "imo" stands still. ;)

He's just saying that infinity Gauntlet pictures are a lot to post.  So far he's posted two.  Infinity - 2 = infinity.  So, still infinity to go!

Chuck Norris counted to infinity.  Twice.

And Fink, you are not helping me not want to play Gauntlet II.

It's not my fault you see a picture of Gauntlet and think of Gauntlet II.
