Wow George Lucas owes us some explication about how this print survived the test of time. I’m surprised the colour is holding up. Yeah this print should be given some tender care top priority into ensuring it stays this way for many more years.

Seeing the old BBFC “U” certificate haven’t laid eyes since the last time I saw it 1983 at triple bill all three star wars films.

 

The UK release was cold nippy December 26th 1977

I just checked the date release with my phone by scrolling back and it was (Saturday December 31st 1977) because me, and friend sneaked in back exit LOL. It was around second showing in the day and the nights get dark and I had to get home so I missed what happened after the cantina scene? Did Han really shoot first?

I saw it with group of kids about a week later around January 1978.

Is it not possible this is re-issue print, did Technicolor produce any re-issue prints around early 80’s? or is this the only one of its kind from late 1977.
