he maybe right, but right now I think finding a job needs to be the first priority.  I also need to diet and exercise.   Once I have job and am in shape, then I will pursue a girlfriend.

I have always been a hopeless procrastinator. Absolutely awful. Has made my life difficult and gotten me into trouble on so many things. My mom use to always tell me, "Tomorrow never comes, and later is never here" everytime I told her something like "Don't worry I'll do it tomorrow" or "I'll take care of it in a few minutes". She was usually right, I'd forget to do it tomorrow, then I'd get in trouble.

Anyway, with that list of things to do before you even attempt to start dating, all I can say is good luck. But in all honesty, that list of yours tells me that you are not going to be going on any dates anytime soon, or likely ever. There will always be some excuse. Some buffer protecting you from what you are scared to do.

Maybe if you met a girl you really liked, you'd feel more motivated to get a job or get in shape. I am probably wrong, but I have a feeling that you are not even actively trying to get in shape at the moment, and that it is something you intend to get started on really soon. Tomorrow never comes, and really soon is never here.

Just a thought.

Also, on a minor note, you may often notice really big guys married to really gorgeous and in shape women. That is because a lot of women put other qualities above looks in their search for potential mates. Not saying you shouldn't try to look your best, but feel assured the right girl is going to like you regardless of you being out of shape. Also, take a look at the current unemployment rate? Do you think all those people put their lives on hold and stop trying to find love just because they are unemployed? Not trying to be pushy, just trying to encourage you, there is honestly no reason you couldn't/shouldn't be dating right now.

I hear you loud and clear, I especially identify with the first part of that post. Even as I write this, I'm procrastinating a ton of shit I should be doing: studying, taking the bike to repair (that has been waiting for YEARS), translating MPATHG for a future fandub...

its ok if you don't try to take it serious.   But it is totally unrealistic.

Last movie seen = Public Enemies.

Very disappointed, I was expecting a movie about John Dillinger to be exciting...I was wrong. Some will like it but although I stuck around til the end I became incredibly bored with it.

Next movie seen = Inception.

:)

I still have to see Public Enemies.   I originally thought that it was going to be a remake of The Public Enemy.

^Now that's a film I haven't seen in a long time...a long time.

I just saw District 9 and while it was good it wasn't the piece of ethical Sci-Fi I was led to believe it would be from all the bru-ha-ha at the time of it's release.

In fact the depiction of the Nigerian baddies (in this film every group is at the least shaky even the poor aliens) hinged on some rather nasty racist overtones.

Near Cannibalistic 'black' magic...didn't that die out with the colonial pulp stories of the late 19th and early 20th Centuries?

Just remember, excuses will never get you anywhere. Progress takes action. Even short fat guys find women, but like ever other guy, they have to actually put out a bit of effort.

I've hijacked this poor topic for far too many posts.

Watched Army of Darkness the other night, been a while since I had seen it. Ridgeshark's Primitive Screwhead edit is fantastic, forgotten what a great job he had done.

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

I consider myself a fan of the cinema, yet I have never seen a John Ford western.  I did get out to Monument Vally, AZ once, but it was in the middle of one of the worst dust storms in years. I saw noting but red/brown clouds, and destroyed the paint job on the rental car.

This is what you get when you try to mix the James Bond and Beach Blanket Bingo film series together, and ad a couple of cases of whiskey.

But it was fun for a nostalgic laugh. Dare I tread any further into the Matt Helm series?

That's from my friend's first Albanian rap, "Kur kur kur, do të jetë e Merkurë?" because Wednesdays were the day we got to write letters home, go grocery shopping, or play ping pong at the church.

Showed my wife Fight Club. She didn't see the end coming, and had so many questions afterwards. She liked the movie, but she won't watch it again. She doesn't like watching movies like that after she knows what was really going on.

Also watched Sherlock Holmes. It was fun, and I could really see where the show "House" got its relationship between House and Wilson.
