It will definitely be on fanedit.info, as will v2 of TBKR.

Well, I was hoping tonight to start rendering the mpv file for the new V2 cut of TBKR, only to find that the video file of the new Dooku scenes have been corrupted.... so, now I have to re-rotoscope Dooku's lightsaber for the new scenes... again. 

For those curious, here's an updated list of the new cuts and edits to The Black Knight Rises V2:

1. Added a few more scenes of the Corusant space battle back into the film's opening sequence

2. Cut Obi-Wan's frantic line of the command ship's shields still being up, along with Anakin's "Sorry Master" line

3. Extended Obi-Wan's and Anakin's infiltration of Grevious's ship - they now locate Palpatine's tracking signal, Obi-Wan senses a trap, and says they'll "spring the trap" when Anakin asks their next move (I cut the shot of Anakin saying that he sensed Count Dooku and the scene after Obi-Wan's "spring the trap" line that involves R2-D2 staying behind with the ship)

4. Extended the Anakin/Dooku duel - it now has back the scene of Dooku telling Anakin that he senses fear, hate, and anger inside of him (I did cut the end of his speech to remove Dooku's last line of "But you don't use them")

5. Removed and edited nearly all of the Anakin/Padme reunion sequence - now they just embrace each other, followed by fading out to Anakin's nightmare

6. Removed the shot of Anakin running up the stairs outside of the "Opera House"

7. Cut the shot of Yoda saying "Quickly and decisively, we should proceed"
(don't know why, but I always felt that that scene had redundant dialog and Yoda looked stupid waving his hand like that)

8. Cut the scene of the clonetrooper telling Yoda that the droids are advancing, followed by Yoda saying "Then now the time is" - the scene now cuts from Yoda walking to oversee the battlefield to the Wookiees preparing for battle

9. Re-edited Obi-Wan's and Anakin's last scene together as friends before Obi-Wan leaves to find Grevious - Anakin now says that he’s disappointed Obi-Wan, that he hasn’t appreciated his master’s training, to which Obi-Wan replies that he’s very proud of Anakin

10. Pitched Mon Mothma's voice slightly higher so that she sounds a bit younger

11. Cut several shots of the "dragon" mount that Obi-Wan rides chirping and shouting at the Federation ship where Grevious is

12. Removed Obi-Wan’s “Hello” to Grevious
(he lands silently and the audience thinks he’s gotten the drop on Grevious, before the droid guards spin around to attack)

13. Lowered the volume of Mace Windu's "No" line to Anakin about coming to arrest Palpatine
(for some reason, Lucasfilm really raised the volume of his line, apparently to make him sound more forceful than how that character was speaking... although honestly, I suspect that this line is in fact an ADR line by Jackson and what he was saying in this scene was actually much different than what's really in the film)

14. Added back in the end of Sidious line "... to save Padme" when he tells Anakin to not hesitate and show no mercy in order to grow strong in the Dark Side

15. Cut Yoda calling the dead Jedi boy a “padawan” when he and Obi-Wan find the slain children in the Temple

16. Removed Obi-Wan's line to Yoda to "send him to kill the Emperor" and slightly re-edited the part where he states that he can not kill Anakin

17. Slightly re-edited the opening of the Obi-Wan/Anakin confrontation where Anakin Force-chokes Padme (to quicken the pacing of the scene and used a different shot of Obi-Wan at the top of the ship stairs when Anakin first sees him)

18. Cut several shots from Anakin burning alive and Obi-Wan watching him
(so it doesn’t seem like Obi-Wan waits around forever watching Anakin burn to a crisp - now he just looks back briefly before he walks away from Anakin staring at him in anger as he burns)

The only available v2 right now is AOTF.

Don't know about the file size issue.

Pardon me if this is a silly question, but instead of re-rotoscoping couldn't you just take the video of the redone lighsaber shots directly from your V1 edit and reframe them for the aspect ratio problems?  I mean since EP2 and EP3 aren't getting color correction.

For the record, I'm still alive and working on this.

In addition to getting bogged down with work, I ended up having TWO hard drives fail over the course of a single day, which had me lose a sh*t-ton of data including the V2s of TOTR and TBKR (yeah, I was pleased as punch that day...  -_- )

So I've been busy as hell trying to recover the failed HDs and transfer the data to new ones - it's take a while, but about 95% of the data was saved and recovered to the new hard drives. And yes, the V2s of EP2 and EP3 was saved, but the new Dooku rotoscoped shots for EP3 were lost.... which means I'll have to redo them all over again. -_-

Arrgh two drives...in one day...that's making me paranoid now.

It's been a long while since I lasted posted in this thread (or even the site in general), but just wanted to give a quick note that I will be working on a set of brand new HD cuts of these fanedits (along with revised SD releases) once I receive my Complete Saga BD set from Amazon.

Ok, folks, slight change of plans.....

Newly revises cuts of Attack of the Federation, Twilight of the Republic, and The Black Knight Rises will still be coming out, but because of recent revelations that the deleted scenes of the PT that was previously released on DVD is NOT included in the new BD boxset, I will not be releasing these edits in HD (on that note: F*** Lucas....) - however, I will still be looking into integrating several of the new deleted scenes from the BD boxset in my edits (especially the "Lost Twenty" scene from EP2), providing that they are in decent quality to work with.

I just watched your edit version of the prequels by George Lucas and I can say that your work is amazing... I like the movies! It is impressive what you could make out of them.

I loved the feeling I got after watching the 2 first movies. The third one, I was a little confused.

But of course I wanted to ask you for a favour.... I downloaded the .avi files to watch the movies, now I know I want to keep them at the best quality I can get.

(I am a legal owner of the George Lucas's cuts. The standard movies. As many of you are, I got them in VHS, many times, then in DVD... I may not be getting them in Bluray, for obvious reasons)

So I downloaded Attack of the Federation DVD 4.5Gb size, with DVD quality. My question is: could you please confirm the dlc, torrent or link for the DVDs of Twilight of the Republic or The Black Knight Rises? The ones that Fanedit.org links to, they don't work for me :(

Also I got a question that I need to ask... maybe I am dumb, but why does Leia only give birth to Luke? Maybe this is something I am missing of the Star Wars story...

I haven't actually seen the edit, but I would assume such a choice would be made as to keep their sibling-nature as a secret preserved for ROTJ. It could be assumed that Leia's birth and naming were simply not shown.

Also, don't you mean "Padme only gave birth" not "Leia only gave birth"? ;-)

And maybe I am a bit dumb sometimes :-D but yes, I would prefer no name at all too, for both babies. Mystery works better.

I think JasonN's work is brilliant, and leaves the first 2 episodes near perfect (as perfect as they can be), but I found the third one the "worst" one, as far as the edited cut go...

I still find I need a stronger feeling from Anakin for him to turn to the dark side, that's the key point. I feel that the scene when you just see him and Padme, and their distance in Coruscant... between the Jedi Council tower, and the Senator's palace... and silence... you have to imagine Anakin's doubts, and Padme's doubts... then it works better... but, you know, Anakin just did the right thing, he tells Windu about the Sith... then he changes his mind and goes towards Palpatine because he is concerned about Padme's future demise... we should see him more troubled, suffering...

I think that if the story at that point could be a bit more strong it would be a really great achievement....

I don't know.... Like mixing stronger moments or sentences against Anakin from Windu be more reluctand when he tells him about the sith.. also, somehow reminding the moments the Jedi Council let him down, Palpatine pushing him more after Windu's killing.... pushing him against the Jedi Council and for the Republic and against the separatists too...

but of course that would mean changing the dialogues it is not a cutting work...

I still feel he could change his mind any moment lol

But it is a terrific job no doubt and definitely a huge improvement on Lucas' movies.

Actually, not knowing of the twins' names is something that's occurred in other fan-edits and does work to preserve some of the twists in the OT. I do love JasonN's edits of the first two Episodes, being one of the people who didn't mind cutting the murdering of the sandpeople. I've yet to see the III as the links no longer work...

cutting out the sandpeople scene, al the later storytelling... brilliant.

With regards to the DVD versions of my PT edits, the reason the FE.org links no longer work is because the filehosting site which I had used to host my files deleted the majority of my fanedits. :/

I'm currently in the process of reuploading my files to another filehosting service, but some of my edits I'm holding up on reup'ing until I can finish new and improved revised cuts, which includes all three of my PT fanedits. Not sure when they'll be completed (things kinda have got stalled due to the PSU of my workstation dying and getting it replaced, unfortunately...), but I'll definitely post here when they're available online again. ;)

since I am here and you are still working on your final versions... just two suggestions.. heheh sorry I can't help it!

- on Geonosis, in Twilight of the Republic, please make Padme be already standing on the sand with the clone trooper, I hate that she is laying on the sand like she is unconscious, and when the trooper says.. ARE YOU OK?? She replies: .... Yes. And she stands up like nothing happenned lol

- and about Anakin turning bad in the Black Knight Rises... if you could make that Windu just feels it in the force, and goes to see Palpatine.... somehow.... meanwhile Anakin is suffering, thinking about what Palpatine said. and decides to go and then meets the mess there.... his thoughts about his mom, losing her because he was away, obeying the Jedi Council... and being left apart by the Council, also the need for a strong Republic, because the weaker Gallactic Republic is not enough.... his thoughts about losing Padme at the end, the stronger ones... maybe you could use some sentences, in the sound only, like he is remembering them.... using the silent scene when we only see Padme and Anakin,.... I don't know, I know it is hard to do.

actually I believe that for the scene of Padme recovering... it will just work to remove the last part, after she gives the order to the trooper... she just does not need to run after the man lol
