Extortion like all crimes is a matter for courts to settle, not fists and verbal insults.

The use of violence in close proximity to a child is worse than swindling anyone out any amount of money (especially someone like Gibson).

If this woman is so notorious why marry her in the first place?

Marriage is a contract with legal obligations and involves money, if you enter into a legally binding contract where loss of money is a possibility you should at least do a background check on the person you are signing on the dotted line with.

If you take that risk without taking the time to weigh up the potential losses you get what's coming to you.

Naturally when I was describing the response to being robbed I was stating my point of view, other points of view are available. I personally feel that the work of the police is difficult enough without adding needless violence into the equation.

Things are just things, they are ultimately replaceable, people are unique and in their finite lifespans have more to offer than any inanimate object. They need to be preserved and protected more than objects and cash do. Thems my principles.
