I will see Inception this weekend. Then it will be the last movie watched.

Re-watched Brotherhood Of The Wolf last night.
It really shouldn't work, it sounds so bonkers on paper but somehow everything comes together to make a unique cinematic experience.
It made me wish for Christophe Gans PT.

I could tell you, in a post and all... BUT YOU WOULDN'T READ IT!

you're never going to watch another movie . . . ever again?
Warbler- You just don't understand because you haven't seen Inception.
Ask a girl to go see it with you. If she likes the movie, then maybe she will associate some of that goodness with you. I know my wife liked me more after the movie than she did before it. ;)

I don't know a girl to ask.
I don't have money.
Even if those things weren't true, I'd be afraid to. I'd fear they'd laugh at me or slap me.
: (
I heard a rumor that from now on, all movies will have the full Inception movie attached to the end, just to make sure it is always the last movie you see.

Die Hard (the first one)
Can we just pretend there is only one Die Hard movie?
Why? I like 3. It's stupid and goofy, but it's goddamn hilarious.
2 and 4 are terrible, though.

Well, maybe they have a pattern going. So the 5th one should be decent.
"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

The same logic could be applied to another sequel done too late, Indy 4. However, I doubt very much that the 5th ones will be any better than the 4th ones, probably worse.EyeShotFirst said:

"In 2009, Stallone gave an interview to the German news magazine Tele5 whereupon he mentioned that although it sounds foolish to some he feels he needs to make another Rocky movie, because "artists must again and again go through the dark." He also stated cryptically that the movie would likely be about getting older rather than boxing. At least one top executive at MGM has speculated they have plans to continue the Rocky franchise, based both on the overall gross of the movies (over 1 billion dollars) and the overwhelming positive commercial and critical reception that met Rocky Balboa, Later it became clear that the German magazine had picked up quotes from Stallone before he made Rocky Balboa."

I read something a few months about Stallone saying he would never make another Rocky movie on firstshowing, then he said something later to contradict that statement, or was it another rambo?? IMDB states he has a personal project in the works...
Im sure theres going to be something that makes the set come full circle with regards to the late Burgess Meredith role in the series driving the storyline.
I did enjoy Die Hard 2 for what it is, but 3 is just a discarded Lethal Weapon script. Die Hard 4 was at least tolerable to some extent, unlike the abomination of Indy 4. So, I guess I'm okay with another Die Hard-if they actually just throw caution to the wind and make another crazy action movie. We need to see anonymous henchmen get shot point blank multiple times-it's soothing...;)

I hope Die Hard 5 takes place on Christmas Eve. It just doesn't feel like a Die Hard movie if it isn't on Christmas Eve.

huh?
Just re-watched Akira Kurosawa's Ran for the first time in many years.
It's as amazing a piece of cinema now as it was then.
It's also incredible that Kurosawa was almost blind when he made it and though his wife died during the production it only halted him for one day.
Lady Kaede is so clinically vengeful.
Most of the evil in the film comes from men fired up by lust for power but Lady Kaede's hate, though laser sharp, is ice cold and unlike most other cinema villains it's all tragically understandable.
An epically bleak film.
