So, the wife and I are celebrating our anniversary this weekend and we'll be out seeing Inception. Since we don't see a lot of movies on opening weekend (or even in the year they're released, sadly) I figured it might be the perfect time to have the first MacGaffer Group Skype Telecon.
The people that have expressed interest in being in it, at my count, are:

Frink (though I don't recall you ever actually saying "I'm interested!")
The problem might actually be that Inception is a movie you don't want to talk about. Let me rephrase that- It's probably a movie you don't want to talk about to people that haven't seen it yet. So, do you do an episode where only people who have seen the movie will want to watch it?
What other topics should we cover? I'm afraid I'm totally unequiped to cover Anime or Power Rangers, I don't see new movies in theatres very oftern, and I'm always at least 6 months behind on video games.
Also, as far as format, I listen to a lot of Podcasts and 4 man teams seem to provide the best balance. I've never done a conference call in Skype, but I believe you can do it- though the lag might increase with each participant... So I think we should try 4 people.

I don't think I did. I'd be interested down the road, but not for this movie of which I won't have seen yet.
Also, my wife will tease me forever, but I suppose I'll have to live with that.
Inception is on my list of movies I have to see, however I'm out of town this weekend and won't be seeing it just then. However, we'll probably see it next weekend, maybe we could try doing it then?
I'm not sure about how to record Skype. I signed up for http://www.blogtalkradio.com/ since it sounded the most like what we wanted it for. I'm not sure how it works, but we could read up on it. Its like a call in show, one of us could be recording it on his PC and the others could call in with their cells.
This should be something we really plan out, as getting all of us together probably won't be able to happen very often, so we need to try to get it right the first time.

This blogtalkradio may be easier than I thought. The host calls a phone number, everyone else calls another number, all the calls stream live (the host can run a switchboard to mute callers) on the website, saves old episodes to the website, and it can upload the finished recording to iTunes. It's pretty sweet.

It's basically Memento, Matrix, Blade Runner, and a few other movies I've never seen put together. It's one of those movies you're supposed to spend longer talking about than actually having watched the movie. Sounds right up our over-analyzing alley.

I've never done it, but I think you can record audio+video multiways with Skype.
