Reivax seems to be good quality to me, but it's in PAL - speed and resolution. That's an annoyance, least for me.

The guy claims that they're better than any LD transfer, but I've yet to watch them.

Can't compare it to the TB set, but the Reivax one is pretty solid.

I don't get it, I uderstand the speed problem (although I don't notice it myself) but why resolution? Isn't PAL higher resolution?

Also, could someone, please,  help me get my hands on any of these anamorphic '97 SEs?

This project sounds great! Hope you find the time to finish it though, I also think these broadcasted versions is the final key to make a good looking fan restoration of the original films. Very important project even for the original cuts. I hope you continue with it.

This looks to be the definitive preservation of the real SE. Using these avoids all of the problems of the LDs. The Reivax alone blows both  the LD and VHS out of the water (although it isn't perfect).

As of right now is there a set for all three films in NTSC? Have been looking for something to work with besides VHS quality.

Could someone please upload a HQ clip of the ending celebration in ROTJ from TB or GKAR, especially the ghosts and PM me the links. It would really help me. Thanks.

OK while taking a break on the v3's, I have started hunting down all my copies of the '97 SE broadcast versions, and damnit almost all of my discs are unreadable now, so if anyone has any of these broadcast DVD's still and are still in good working order LOL, please PM me, I have already PM'd some people here to start acquiring these babies again.

looking for the Flunk, GKar, REIVAX, TB of all 3 movies if anyone has them, I already have the LD 5.1 mixes, although I think reivax is SW only.

I have been googling, reading OT threads, and browsing the web and I think I have this right now, is this correct?

We have these versions for each film,

97 SE ANH - GKar,TB, REIVAX, Flunk.

97 SE ESB - GKar, TB.

97 SE ROTJ - GKar, TB.

(to my knowledge all the HD rips are 2004, not 97)

well I have FINALLY got my DVDr's to rip, some of them I actually grabbed with my Blu-ray burner, but all that matters is I have the GKar, TB, and REIVAX ANH all on my hard drive now, before deleting I will definitely burn to Tayo Yudens!

I have PM'd several members here in hopes to get a hold of the ANH Flunk version, someone here HAS to still have it(I hope).

Now I have to figure out where the hell I put the LD DD 5.1 rips.

Also just so everyone knows, Max_Rebo and I have talked about this before, I am NOT trying to steal his thunder, just looking for something to work on until I can finish v3.

Max and I have the same ideas in mind, but I won't do a PAL version, only NTSC.

I am under the impression that the Flunk version is the same thing as the Reivax version.  ¿Verdad?

Flunk and Reviax are different, I think. Flunk was transferred from a studio tape of the 97 SE to be used for TV broadcast. I thought Reviax was a capture.

I really need someone to post the 97 SE ending of Jedi to RS for me, PLEASE!!! I want the best quality source possible for the original Anakin ghost for my ROTJ: Partly Despecialized and I can't find TB or KGar Jedi anywhere. Could someone PLEASE just extract those few seconds of the ghosts from either one of those and post a clip to RS. It would really help me, it's the only thing left to do on my edit. PRETTY PLEASE!!!
