Go for one of these: Barry Lyndon, For a Few Dollars More, Grave of the Fireflies. Barry is epic and extremely underrated (and just screams for Blu ray!), FAFDM is possibly Leone's best and most concentrated film, and Grave will make anyone cry.
Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome should be saved for last. If you're a fan of either previous film this is a major letdown.
Am excited to see African Queen in a new transfer and New World for the 70mm sequences.
Just re-watched the Coppola Restoration of The Godfather for the umpteenth time. I have the set but still haven't watched the others. Part one's new restoration takes me back to the first time I saw the film and it rocks in the original mono.
Alice in Wonderland in a second run theater. It made the movie that much more interesting to see it non-digital, non-3D, and complete with a giant green line for an entire reel. This I suspect may be why I slightly enjoyed myself. Otherwise it's not particularly good at all. It did get me thinking how much I would like to see a print of Batman Returns.
