Two notes:

1) jdownloader may have to be configured to make it extract automatically
2) some people have reported errors using jdownloader to extract (however I always use it and never have a problem).  Alternatives for extraction are programs like winrar, 7-zip, or tugzip.

I set JDownloader to automatically extract, and I also have winrar if that doesn't work, so I basically have it all set up.

Thanks for everyone's advice!

Ok, I need help again (Sorry). When ever I start to burn, this pops up:

At first, I just hit yes, but then soon after, the burn failed... Any ideas on what I did wrong?

You should not receive that message.  It means that the ISO has been made without taking account of the layer break position.  I am not sure where you found this, but I do think there was a problem with some ISOs of ANH:R at some point.

I would download Virtual Clone Drive, mount the ISO and copy the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders to your hard drive.  Then burn the folders with Imgburn and it should give the option to choose a layer break position, which of course you do.

I believe the layer break position was 28 for NTSC.

You know of the rebellion against the Empire?

Ok, I got a successful burn and it works in my DVD player, so thanks for everyone's help!

This pertains the file via the link on fanedit.info for RS DL NTSC:

When burning, I got the same ImgBurn prompt: "This image has not been mastered correctly for burning onto double layer" as TML.  I burned it anyway, but the DVD skips a lot.

When I saw Chewtobacca's advice in this thread, I built + burned an image from the VIDEO_TS folder.  That burn went fine and there was no prompt (I chose layer break at chapter 27, because ImgBurn rated it as "Good"), but the DVD still has issues with numerous skips, especially in the beginning of the movie.

The ISO file plays just fine when mounted on my PC, but I'd really like to get it on onto a playable DVD.  Any advice?

Can you trust him?  No, but he has no love for the Empire, I can tell you that.

I know what you did wrong, when burning with Imgburn make sure you tick the box marked "Don't update IFO/BUP  files" in the Layer break position pop up box that appears after you click burn . After that, you should be fine! (I was also having that problem earlier, but after I did that, the DVD works fine)

Also, copy both the Video_TS and Audio_TS folders from the mounted drive, then burn those.

Sweet, thanks.  But how do I burn both folders to the disc?  Can i select them both at once, or do I put them both into a main folder?

On that note, what exactly is the Audio_TS folder?  It's always seems empty.

It usually is but some DVD players have convulsions if it doesn't find the folder on the disc.

My outlook on life - we’re all on the Hindenburg anyway…no point fighting over the window seat.

It's supposed to be empty, I don't know why, but it is. But first, copy the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS from the MOUNTED ISO, make sure you mount it with DAEMON Tools or a program like that, and copy the folders to an empty folder that you make (This will probably that awhile) Once you do that, open IMGBurn and select "Create image file from files/folders", and the rest is pretty self explanitory, but make sure you tick the box I told  you too. I hope that your burn is sucessful!

Why would you mount the image, copy the files, make a new image, and burn that?

Wouldn't it be easier (and better) to burn the original image?

I'm curious, what ever happened to the fellow who wanted to create his own audio mix for ANH:R?

Read post 8303.  Making an ISO is unnecessary though.  I would just burn the folders.

Can someone PM me a link to the Purist Edition?

If there is an NTSC DL DVD9 that would be great.

Oh, well, okay, whatever the best version is, I need a link.  :)

Thanks to anyone that can help.

From fanedit.info:

further note: the purist edition is and will not be available through fanedit.org as it cannot be considered a fanedit.

Of course that doesn't really explain anything, does it?

Thanks for the PM, Ady.  :)

As far as the Purist Edition not being considered a fan edit....

WTF?  I don't get it.  It's not considered an edit because the dialogue has been put back to the original version?  What about all the other enhancements and changes that are in the PE?  When I hear the word "edit", that applies to ANY thing done to a film that makes it different than the "official" version.  I consider Ady's changes such as color correction and changes to the sound to be "edits" just as much as fixing the Greedo scene.  Sorry, but that's absurd to think of the PE in any other way.
