Here's a quickie sample..........but I may revise it as I'm wondering what it might look like if it strayed farther from the original design.

I kinda read that potentially as sarcastic mocking but wasn't sure why? I though people were mostly friendly around these parts.

I think Bingo was saying that ABC was mocking the mockup...although I thought ABC was being sincere.

Having said that, I might be way off.  Either way, it was kind of funny.

For the record abc I don't mind someone breaking my chops a bit if you know me ..... but since I don't know you from a lump of dog shit feel free to take your sandy vagina and play elsewhere.

If you don't like the mockup just say that like an adult or put up your own work. No need to be a twat about it.

As someone who has posted a large number of clunkers in my time I wouldn't dream of mocking ideas posted in sincerity by people and often a mockup has several ideas on the go at once.

DF made a valid point of changing the nature of the incompleteness of the Death Star and made a rough illustration of the sort of thing he meant.

It was not meant to be a work of high art or look like a finished shot from the film.

It was an illustration of an idea I hope DF keeps playing around with different configurations and posts some more examples, that's how discussions are sparked.

There was a degree of mockery in A B C's reply but I don't believe it to have been antagonistic, however standing order WOBBLYHAND was in effect.

I conceed Angel didn't post the repost and the words are running along the top and not the bottom so I hereby place myself on probation with total forfeiture of Chers.

It's cool guys. If I spent 6 hours laboring over the image I might catch feelings, but it only took me about 10 minutes. As I mentioned it was just a "quickie".

I don't think it's too bad all things considered, which is why any comment outside of just general discussion seems uncalled for. Also as I mentioned I though people were pretty friendly on this board overall which is a major reason I like coming here.

In any case I'm done with this.

Let's move forward.

The interesting thing about DF's mockup is it looks even more like what I thought the ROTJ Death Star to be when I first saw pictures of it in the illustrated 'story of' book, the original Death Star's wreckage being patched up (I know it doesn't make sense going by the scale of it's blownupness in the first film but for a thirteen year old it seemed rather cool to think the Empire had somehow made the destruction look worse than it was and were secretly salvaging it).

^Perhaps Frink could make a thread about similar triggered responses on the off topic forum.

Eg Porn Or Not Porn? (with discussion about defining and refining the triggering criteria).

It's best to keep stuff like that away from threads like this.
