I remember reading about Avatar a few months before it was released. That it had been in development for 10 years and it was James Camerons dream project - although i kinda like avatar, its difficult to see why it took so long to make... I like the background info to it, a lot of thought went into the design just a shame not so much made it into the movie.
I like the scene where the big shuttle lands and in the background you see the giant earth mover/excavator machine the use of scale (used in that kind of special effect) was something ive not really seen in movies before.
From what ive heard an expanded version of Avatar is coming out here in November but will only be 6 minutes longer - I ask myself whats the point?
