Love Prestige. Love Sunshine. Love Clue. Haven't watched Dances With Wolves for a decade or so... but I do have the extended version on DVD. I guess I'll have to plan to revisit that one. It's been a while since I've seen Tombstone too, so I'll have to make a date with the wife.
We didn't see the Illusionist for a couple of years after the Prestige... just couldn't imagine how it could compare. They are actually quite different. Different enough that both can coexist. We liked it, and I'm generally a fan of Norton and Giamatti... but it is rather forgettable. I insist everyone sees Prestige that hasn't. I tend to forget Illusionist exists.
I love Dark City, so I looked into Proyas's other work... I had never seen the Crow and I'd heard so much good about it, I picked it up. I guess I just didn't get it. It bored me and didn't appeal to me at all. I Robot does seem to be more formulaic... but at least I enjoyed it.
Willow is really good. The last time I watched it, I had sort of forgotten that Kilmer was even in it. I'm not sure how that happened since he is by far the best part of that movie. I think I'll have to show that one to my kids soon.
Okay, now on to my movies. I saw Moon... and I was extremely underwhelmed. I thought that if this was an episode of the Twilight Zone, that it would have been "average". Can someone explain to me what I missed?
