Of course.
Of course.

Thanks, Captain Bringdown. I'm surprised you didn't say how mediocre the hitters did, too. ;)
Captain Bringdown?
...
...
I like it!
Rip, I see you got fed up with Jose Lopez just like I did, lol.
Strasburg start #3: 7 IP, 1 ER, 4 H, 0 BB, 10 K.
To date: 19.1 IP, 2-0, 1.86 ERA, 0.78 WHIP, 32 K.
Yeah, he's pretty good.
He still hasn't had a perfect enough game, though. ;)
Screw it, I'm dropping him!!!
Yeah, that post was a mistake anyway, but it wouldn't let me edit. But yeah, you should probably drop him. I mean, it's all downhill from here.
If any of y'alls have ESPN (1, 2, Classic, whatever...), there's a show called "30 for 30" and one of the episodes is on the history of rotisserie baseball. Interesting stuff.
I've been DVR-ing each 30 for 30, and the last one on the OJ freeway chase was fascinating.
They pre-empted the NBA playoffs to show that. I was not pleased! :p I didn't realize what it signified at the time and didn't really pay attention, just itching for the game to come back on. May have gone and played video games while I waited. Haha.
I'm watching the one about Allen Iverson right now. The ones on Reggie Miller vs. the Knicks and the one about Len Bias were great. Lookign forward to more, especially The Birth of Big Air.
Jered Weaver had an outstanding game for me (other league): 7.0 IP, 2 H, 0 BB, 0 ER, 11 Ks! Didn't have Abreu in, though... (4/5, 2 R)
Nervously keeping an eye on Jeter.
"The fact that he was listed in Saturday's initial lineup indicates that the injury probably isn't very serious..."
Hopefully!
The Angels have another relief pitcher named Francisco Rodriguez. How random is that?
so, my weekend started with the Phillies blowing 5 run lead in the 9th, and then continued Sunday with the Phillies losing 1 to 4, even though Halladay was on the mount. How was your weekend?
Saturday - Cubs lose 12-0
Sunday - Cubs win 12-1
Yep, pretty much sums it up.

Yeah, it's funny when that happens. I've seen teams where they have to add the player's first initial to his name on the back, or even one time (with Isaiah Thomas, I think), were his jersey said Isaiah Thomas on the back.
And the Jays are on their second shortstop named Alex Gonzalez. (the current one has accents over the As, though)
And wasn't there another Alex Gonzalez on Florida?
I think that'd be the current one, who played with Florida from 1998-2005. Unless there's another one!
Every time I see Jose Bautista's name on the Blue Jays, I think he's still Tony Bautista!

K-Rod II
To bad he couldn't be F-Rod. The nickname of 'Fraud' is better suited for Alex Rodriguez.

[it's Batista, but the point stands] That guy was awesome. Great stance and surprising power.

Carp!
Anyway, here's another thing that bugs me:
Prince Fielder
Eric Young Jr.
Tony Gwynn Jr.
Guys like this make me feel old.
I never really noticed it in baseball, but I still remember Jermaine O'Neal was the first NBA player I can remember that was the same age as me at the time (18) entering the league. Know what I mean? Like, growing up, they're always older than you, then finally 'hey, that guy is the same age as me.' :p
The thing in basketball that makes me feel old are all the players I used to watch as a kid are now coaches.
Yeah, that too! :p
