You mean I don't already have the title? What coronation did I participate in? Oh wait that was a hair cut followed by 6 hours of drinking....

Anyway! Challenge accepted, *slams fists together* However unlike the bulk of nerds I am throughly confident in my taijitsu and lightsaber combat abilities. ^^ Hoping by the prequels Revisited there will be need to change some lightsaber combat scenes to the level of those awesome TOR Bioware trailers... XD

It should be noted that Ady has used the latest Bioware trailer as a marker for the level of intensity he wants for Return of the Jedi Revisit's ground and space battle. I will quote cos it's awesome: "I think ROTJ battles, both space and ground, should be a fight to the death. As it stands now it doesn't look like its supposed to be the final fight. OT Revisited will be going out with a bang :)"

I dunno about you guys but I know I'm excited. XD

Good stuff, Frinky. I made a cosplay thread at another forum and he (King Nintendo) was an early entry.

Any links?

He's correct, most TIEs in this era don't have hyperdrive. More advanced model such as the TIE Avenger (which Vader's TIE Advanced fighter is the prototype for) and the TIE Defender which saw a limited run due to cost of production.

But they build another Death Star instead?  That crazy Emperor ... >:)

Through the Tarkin doctrine, a second Death Star's cost is justified, "rule by fear and terror..." Had the second DS become complete it would of spelled doom for countless systems in open rebellion against the Empire. TIE Defenders, as awesome a starfighter it is, would not instill the same fear and terror a Death Star would. Nor would any ship have an effect like the appearance of a Death Star in orbit would: immediate surrender of planetary systems or death.

That would be amazing! But a question to adywan (and I apologise that this may be the wrong thread, but this is an ady specific thread)

How much are you going to plan any PT work (additional plotlines, alternative interpretations etc) before embarking on ROTJ:R? The SAGA as a whole would have benefitted originally if there was some loose plan holding it together from the start, or at least before the finale.

And thus without revealing anything, would ROTJ:R be best viewed as a close for the OT, or the entire SAGA?

I know we are trying to be productive here but debates stating facts outside what we see or hear in the actual movie reminds me of this tagline

You'd probably need to register, which is why I didn't bother before, but here it is: http://theshizz.org/forum/index.php?/topic/31621-cosplay-post-the-best-and-the-worst/ (I said I made it, but I'm just a contributor. Was thinking of somewhere else.)

P.S. Once again, I had to unsubscribe and resubscribe to this thread, having missed around 3 pages of posts! Am I the only one having this problem?! :p I'd also love to know why it's only happening with this thread. Did Adywan hex me or something? ;)

I'm trying to think of a comeback to this...

Over in dark_jedi's GOUT thread, the discussion lately has included a part about the sound of water splashing/sloshing around while Luke is in the cave, and it was apparently to do with an unused concept of having Vader come up out of water. Obviously that isn't in the movie, but apparently the audio is! :p (I need to listen to that scene again!)

Any thoughts on this, Ady?

Don't call it a comeback, I've been here for years.

Well a later workprint has been given to  Rogue Leader & the 2nd unit and to 005 today but its still very rough. I don't want anyone pestering these people for any information about the workprint because they won't tell you anything as i trust them 100% i won't be sending out a finished beta version though to anyone. If i miss a few little things then so be it.

And why not? After all, George Lucas missed a few little things ...

Not forgetting that, being a TIE fighter, it can be defeated by a stone fired from a slingshot. Anything that makes them more expensive without making them bulletproof is a waste of money. At least the Death Star can defend itself; even against planets!

End of the Doctor Who thread (by now), back to topic ;-)

Except for one thing ...

Bingowings said:

WOTAN probably made reference to Doctor Who because it searched the newspaper articles regarding a BBC television show which started around the time of the assassination of Kennedy and the Shoreditch Dalek Invasion.

It just wanted copies of the video tapes which explains why so many of Hartnell's stories are missing.

Hartnell has 11 out of 29 stories (including the 1-episode Mission to the Unknown) incomplete or missing, totalling 48 missing episodes. Troughton has 14 of 21 stories (not counting the reconstructed, animated episodes of the Invasion) incomplete or missing, totalling 63 missing episodes. I think WOTAN's been busy with time travel in the BBC archives.

And to keep it STAR WARS related:

Well at least it's not another "Leia in a slave girl outfit" poser...

My oppinion, that someone makes a movie like this scale, that it's good that someone knows these things.
Basicalli star wars is a ww2 movie, with cool designes ships and characters. For example I like the movie "Battle of the Bulge", but I loled that the Tiger IIB tanks are modified American tanks. It's good that a movie like this has a "historian" if is not real thing or is. Like if in the filmmaking procces, the creators is s***ing to the history that would be a disaster like 2012. Thank god, I'm rather impressed, that in America someone reading books. Or know some books. If you see some other films, not star wars, or some European films, you'll se what I'm talking about, that I'm not living in a native english speaking country,
so I can't explain. The other problem is that Hollywood don't care filmmaking, I don't remember, that in the last few years they produced a film that was worth watching. There are different genres: action, thriller, horror, detective, fantasy, the sci-fi is nothin but these 5
genres puted into the future. So in ESB it starts with little thriller with the ice monster, and continue with an awesome war movie, then it follows
with romance, and so on.
Anyways I'll rather happy, that these guys taking seariusly this Revisited projects, I'm excited and waiting the final product.
