a tie. kissing your sister. oh well.
my reactions to watching my first soccer game: wtf?
why were the goalies wearing different uniforms than the rest of the players? In hockey the goalie wheres the same uniform as the rest of the team(with the exception of the helmet).
the clock was counting up instead of counting down.
the clock was always running no matter what. goals scored, clock ran. ball kicked out of bounds, clock ran. players got injured, the clock still ran. wtf? I now know why this game isn't popular in the states. The networks won't let be. There were no commercial breaks during the game(with the exception of halftime). commercials=money for the networks. I doubt they'd like having a sport that doesn't allow for commercial breaks become popular.
why was 4 minutes added to the game? Near the end of regulation time, the announcers said the something about the refs deciding how much time to add to the end. So the refs can just add however much time they want to the game????
the game ending in a tie, why was there no overtime? They must have some way about breaking a tie in the upper rounds.
When the clock read about 84:00 , a USA player was escorted off the field by the ref? why? It didn't look like he did anything wrong. What happened?
Finally, what in gods name was that annoying sound. It sounded that giant swarm of insects had attacked the stadium. Who was making that sound, how were they making it and why? It was so annoying. I hope this doesn't continue throughout the tournament. I wanted to jump through the tv screen with a machine gun in each and shoot whomever making that sound. They should make that against the rules. Anyone caught making that sound should thrown out of the stadium.
can anyone please give me some answers to my questions?
