Usually, when someone gets as caught up in their work as I would assume Peter Jackson did, they forget about eating and tend to lose weight. I think he put more on. And yes, he as well as his cowriter, coproducer need severe makeovers. Throw Peter to the Queer Eye wolfpack and his cowriter with the big flower-emblazoned hair on What Not To Wear. At the very least, Jackson could've buttoned the top button of his shirt.

What's truly sad about it is that I have absolutely no fashion sense whatsoever (I have friends, family, and a wife that will attest to this) and I could see that they were slobs and looked bad and all that jazz.

I suspect it will at the very least get nominated for best picture. This movie is not for the faint of heart or children.

I don't know that it will get a nod for best pic; although it has been very successful, Gibson's going to have to mount a massive campaign to get it noticed come Oscar time.

Would a movie like this be eligible for Best Original Screenplay or would it be Best Adapted? Either way, I think it will get a writing nom, set design, costumes, make up, and I think we might even see a Best Actor for Caviezel (he was incredible in the role).

I'd say adapted, since the Bible is a prior existing work, even though it is in the public domain.

But I've read that he took information from so many different sources and not just the Bible. Actually, it was supposed to be based more on some book that was published in the second half of the 19th Century from what I recall.
